What a hot piece, but what an even hotter price!

WOW! But honestly it doesn't surprise me. Even the regular issue Boss 9's are expensive. It's probably one of my favorite cars from GL, but I started collecting after the majority of them were released. It's be a slow and somewhat costly endeavor to try and back track on those... and I don't even collect the GM's.

Those from the earlier series are still among my favorite and closest to my heart since they are why I got hooked:cry:

That was a fun one to watch. I own the Raven Black Card Green Machine on that one.

Yep, I have that one also, but did not pay anything near what this maroon one went for.

A few months back, a few of these were offered up right in a row. Each successive one went for less than the one before it. IIRC, the last one went for $200. I thought about going for it, knowing it would go back up when activity dried up for awhile. Right back up to three bills! LOL!!

Funny thing, when GL first started these one of the few places to purchase them was diecast alley. I assume that they were not selling real well at first so they started a promo. For evey case that you purchased they included your choice of green machines. I purchased around 20 cases so I got the 20 GM plus the ones that were included in the actual sealed cases. Very nice deal and I still have a complete set but sold the rest.

I have a funny feeling by checking bid history that CLAUDIA might have won it!! But i guess we will never know...........

I found two of the GREEN MACHINE black boss 429 Mustangs from Series 1 and only have $10.00 invested. Wish i could tell what the production #'s are but with the chrome at its base its hard to tell. But i do know there were only 50 made. Concrats everyone.....the price just keeps on getting higher!
