camarors 07-19-2009, 12:04 PM OK I'll go first
Inside staging area, where I get some ideas. Just various projects I'm working on. I have a much bigger area in the garage where the major work gets done.

camarors 07-19-2009, 12:14 PM This started out as a practice piece with my new airbrush, and some experimenting with paintcals.
I was just going to add some details and a wheel swap and call it done. Now I think I might make a light duty tow truck out of it.

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f134/blan4d1/DSCF0005-20.jpg
camarors 07-19-2009, 12:27 PM HWs Demon stripped, prepped, and primed. Shot Lime Ice, taped off and the black stripes were added. Still needs some details and a clear coat.
It's going to get a wheel swap, but I haven't decided which ones yet. Any ideas?

camarors 07-19-2009, 12:55 PM HWs 65 Impala
This one is still in the what if stage. I stripped it and added some twin hood scoops, which are made from flattened aluminum tubing.
I might make this one a cross country road racer. I'll give it a ride hight adjustment and some wheels

Snow owl 07-19-2009, 01:50 PM On my bench I have the
HW Daytona spyder and Jada Scarface Caddy.
http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll112/snowowl1960/Mybench.jpg
By the time I'm done I have hopes of having Crockett's Daytona and Tubbs's Caddy from Miami Vice.
The interior of the Caddy was a pain. It was tiger striped and flocked. I had to soak and gently scrape it all off then repaint it.:freak:
Now figure how to strip the bodies.
The last time I did this much custom work was about 8 years ago.
bob8748 07-19-2009, 02:08 PM Bob, you got a lot of work ahead of you it seems
Thats a good thing though. Your getting mighty good with them Demons too
Snow Owl, two words... "Aircraft Remover". Great stuff for stripping cars. I need to pick up some more myself. I dont know Miami Vice. I need to check that out. I work nights so I dont get prime time. Cool idea though!
I have a few on the back burner but only working on one right now...

GuitarStar38 07-27-2009, 03:38 PM Here's a pic of my Welly 2002 Dodge Ram 1:18 I'm working on. I'm new here BTW :) I did a lot of custom work to this, but my favorite part is the custom molded roll pan with dual exhaust tips. I just need some custom mixed paint to match the roll pan and hood scoop to the body and maybe some off-road tires with rims (if I get the tires and wheels I'll lift it) and I'll be all done.

Me too, especially today after carefully making a couple of cuts. It a good thing the law wasn't around; they would have arrested me for C.U.I.

Newjon, that is organized. Now this is unorganized...and this after I cleaned it up 2 days ago. BTW. It's good to see that you use a towel to work on as well. It's saved my bacon more than once :)

bob8748 08-08-2009, 02:27 PM Right now I have a mess...

Anyways, hmm, what does that look like?
smilinbob3 08-10-2009, 08:32 PM Ok I finally cleaned my bench, so i figured i better get a pick. Won't be this clean long! http://api.photoshop.com/home_cede893a1ea54cfca6085aa1ca2ba9b0/adobe-px-assets/32dc38e00f2b41519b77d55e4136bc18
bob8748 08-13-2009, 01:06 AM Playing with Loctite, this is new to me. I like this stuff! I need to build up the running boards. Cut them from the base in the background.
http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w96/bob8748/Loctite004.jpg
Trying to keep the textured look. The ink marks are so I know wich side goes where. It will get painted over anyway. It filled in the gaps, one more side to go. Everytime I get going I get a kitten in my lap.
craftymore 08-19-2009, 11:16 PM Bubble top Caprice derby car. It's been stripped and had a wheel swap from a Motormax '78 Thunderbird. Have a partial 4 point drivers cage started. Might try something new and add some interior detailing like a racing fuel tank and a battery in the passenger floor area. Still need alot of work done before I think about paint.

http://i902.photobucket.com/albums/ac225/derbyfan83/Demo%20Derby%20Cars/IMG_0030.jpg
It's a start.
Variation_Jason 08-23-2009, 09:32 AM Here's one that I have been working on for a little bit. the boat has to be stripped and resprayed but I'm finally happy with the placement with everything. The blower scoop will face forward when reinstalled and I have to come up with some headers, but the exhaust will use the stock exit points. And for anyone that is looking at the functionality, the boat is running a V-drive gear box, lol. The engine and driver's position were swapped but the rest is pretty much just detail.... Hopefully it will come out nice, I really like this layout, lol
I like the flat black, but will probably redo it in a gloss black. I think it will look better with the flip.

69Stang 08-25-2009, 07:25 AM The boat rig looks great, and I like the swap on the driver / motor. It really makes it more contemperary. But I have to say I REALL like those wheels on the Camaro! Nice work.
camarors 08-25-2009, 08:37 PM Love the wheels on that Camaro! Where did they come from?
