This brand is know under many names, Schuco, High speed and recently Malibu.
They begining to produce medium quality models at a very competitive prices. Later they improve their quality near to kyosho or Autoart items, also with very competitive prices.
If you look to their web site there are some new items expecting to be released.

But my question is what happened with this models, particulary the Land rover discovery in 1/64 scale?, a year ago it was very easy to find this item on e-bay but nowadays itīs near imposible to find one, and what about the future releases like the Mercedes GL Class?

Are the company suffering license problems? or just they neglect the production owing to economical issues?

The Highspeed/Malibu 1/64 cars were easily available at Walmart before with excellent prices. But I guess once Walmart discontinued the line the company must have suffered so much that have to cut back production (or import by Malibu). As for as I know you can still buy them in Hong Kong. I really do wish to see them again, especially that nice looking Mercedes GL plus some of the Jaguar.

Hi Greg,

That's great news. Looks like I'll have to visit TRU more often now.

Yeah GL picked them up which is great IMO. HS really has some nice cars (castings) my favorites being the Gallardo and Firebird. I am happy to see the come back :)
