Well, I have tried to expand my collection to include Ford race cars from all years, and this GL Grand Am car fit the bill. I have had it for a little while, but just now got around to posting pics. Enjoy

Sorry, She doesn't look like that anymore... lol Mark ripped the front end and belly off it today at Barber. She'll be good as new tomorrow though!

You know, I remember a while back when Russ posted these up for sale that we had a board member who works with this car, but I couldn't remember who it was. Well now I remember
I'll be honest I don't "follow" any type of racing, however I absolutely love watching regardless of what it is when I can find it on tv. If you've got any pics or stories you are willing and able to share please go ahead and post them up! I'm sure other members would enjoy it as well

Great pic! And that really was a wild Sunday Casper, and what a WONDERFUL show you guys put on. FAR, FAR better racing then I had expected. As you know, I am a ALMS fan, prefiering the technoligy (or however you spell that!) and I never dreamed how good this would be in real life. I am a true fan now!

Honestly, I was never a road racing person... it bored me to tears trying to watch it. I live about a 1/2 hour from Watkins Glen and had never been there in my life until 4 or 5 years ago. I was dragged there for a cup race and that friday the GA cars were there. I decided to stay because they looked kinda cool. My brother and I just did what alot of people do when they aren't familiar with cars or drivers... just pick a random car to win. I picked the MSR 60 because it was the best looking car at the track. Ozz finished that race in 3rd or 4th. Here I am now working on the car that made me get into this series... of course I kissed a few frogs along the way to get there... lol

Sunday was an ok race... Penalty on the 60 cost us a good run (again... flashback to Daytona for a stop and go) and Valiente proves yet again he is a rocket in the 6.

Friday was bad as Mark ripped off the front half of the car with a nasty wreck in practice, (8g's front impact) but the guys had her back in race shape by 10pm. Saturday we lost half of the first practice... power steering failed on pit road, then in qualifying Mark spun her around and ripped the nose off her again, luckily a quick stop to the pit took care of that and Mark was able to put her in 11th for the start.

Honestly it's been a bad season for us. Luck has not been on the teams side. We "win" practice but come race time we just never get the breaks we need to finish the deal... ehhh well, last year the stars aligned and gave us wins in the final two races of the year... maybe we can pull it off again this year

Atleast we've been having fun with the rental cars (if you work for budget or enterprise please ignore that statement)
