Here are a few cell phone quality pics of the first model I've completed in 10 years. Ironman was painted with Testor's rattle can gold metallic, then oversprayed with candy apple red, then hand painted details back in gold with a paint brush and the same spray gold squirted into a painters tray. I used Testor's bright white gloss for the chest, hand and feet lights. I was too chicken to try to paint the eyes. For a first project, I'm really proud. I gave it as a gift to my new son-in-law, who is a Marvel freak. I have the Aztek Dummy paint masks coming from Culttvman this week, and plan on doing this one again, with the deluxe light/ repositioning kit from Just An Illusion. If I don't screw it up, I'll try to load pics of that one someday. Lots of fun and VERY easy for a mediocre modeler like me!!

If anyone cares, I have an AT-ST ready to pic post, as well as an old PL Spindrift with lights, and a Round 2 Robbie the Robot, lighted with Mecha Labs light kit. I'll post those under the general Sci Fi posting, so as to not make Moebius mad!! Speaking of which, Thanks to Moebius for making super-high quality stuff which makes things SO much easier for guys like me!

Very Nice! Those Iron Man kits are like potato chips,

you can't build just one!

Don't forget the black areas of the suit (around the neck and such) it really sets off the armor colors.

Can't wait to see what you do with the next one!

Thanks for the comments! I was also too chicken to paint the black areas. The paint combos Moebius recommended were dead on. To the naked eye, it looks like the movie. I LOVE the way the base main color looks in person. Pontiac silver, or something. The rattle can went on and dried like magic. I wonder if the 2nd Ironman version would look good with that Pontiac silver? hmmm...my wallet hurts!
