I have two smc 5200 40c and 1 smc 28c lipos and I charge with an ICE charger. my charger settings are 5.2 amps at 100% my ending voltage on the charger says 8.400. Here's the problem....On my and the tracks volt meter they are only reading at best 8.37 volts. Am I doing something wrong and if so is there anyone that can tell me what..Thanks..

You are doing nothing wrong. Some are just a bit more accurate then others. Do you think you can feel .03 volt difference on the track?

I'd like to think not but i see guys fooling there batt's with turbo 35's and getting the legal max voltage out of them. Didn't want to buy a turbo 35 just for that amount of voltage, but it plays mind games with you when you're standing in tech line to race and you hear the tech man telling others "hey you're right on the limit or over it" and then I'm way under it. So do you think it's a advantage for those that have the max over mine that is.8 of a volt short?
That .8 of a volt will only help maybe the top 2% of the racers. Chances are a missed setup or a slight bind or tweak will negate that.

My charger shows 8.40 volts when it cuts off at the end of the charge cycle but the pack only shows 8.36 volts as soon as it comes off the charger. I think it is normal to show a little less voltage when off the charger. Kind of like a full size car battery that will show 14.0 volts with the alternator charging but will drop off to 12.5 when you shut it off.

Reid, That's only .07 volt. Just wheel it a little harder.
