Does any one know if AFX made yellow wheels for magnatraction cars?
Are there any pics out there?

Maybe on a G+. Maybe. I don't believe I have ever seen a Mag/trac car with yellow factory wheels. Those turbines in yellow would make for a cool Sunoco Camaro.

Maybe if you strip a chome magnatraction wheel . . . :confused:

Yellow was a g-plus thing ....was it not?

G-Plus for sure. Finding NOS G-Plus chassis with anything other than yellow is difficult.

I love the look of yellow wheels on red cars, especially Ferraris.

And the yellow wheels looked great on my favorite G-plus, the Andretti Lotus F1. Love that car. Never saw yellow on a MT though. Dave.

You could try airbrushing some rims with flat yellow to get a nice thin detailed paint job and then hit them with clear coat or future to gloss them out? Sometimes it is a little tricky to get Future to stick to flat paints...not impossible but, you need to work it. I would paint more rims than you needed if you went with the yellow painted rim look.

Heck RRR makes T-Jet painted steelies but, those don't work with AFX Chassis as the tires are not tall enough to make contact with the track on a AFX Magnatraction chassis. :cry: I have even used buds tires that are a little larger with no luck....dang it!

Yeah G-Plus had yellow rims with straight ribs in them. Usualy a used G-Plus rim has been through so much that used ones just spin on the axle. They originaly came with foam tires glued on and had no rear lip on the rim either.

homodels sent me some sample AFX rims in different types in colors last year. Never used them myself and the ones I got are molded in orange. I think he made Tomy & AFX rims and should still have the molds sitting around?

Never saw yellow wheels on magnatraction chassis', but have seen yellow, white, black and red wheel on the aurora G-Plus and the Aurora Super g-plus chassis.

Yellow wheels were common, and i know for certain that red, white and black came out, as i have a card of the red, black and white g-plus rear wheels with the sponge tyres from years ago.
