Seems more and more of my post are starting on the international thread...I might be detecting a pattern here!
Just received (from France, thought that was pretty cool) this ultra hip 2008 Peugeot 908 HDi FAP P1 Le Mans Prototype sports car (wow, what a mouth full).
This 1:64 (though it seems a bit larger, maybe 1:55) diecast is by NOREV and is my first casting by this French company. The casting is flawless, tampos are crisp and the wheels are breathtaking! I am so pleased to add thin to my collection.
The real history is also amazing...this car, cassie #3 has qualified on the pool for three straight years ('07,'08,'09) at Le Mans. Though very good finishes with a 2td, 5th and 2td respectively.
This twin turbo missile is remarkable to experience in person. It will almost scare you if you are not watching for it, these cars are so quite that you have no sense of approaching speed, then it flashes by at over 200 mph!
As always, thanks for the look and allowing my the fun of sharing my odd taste it toys!
