I have a Craftsman mower with the Honda GVC 160 engine.
The engine starts ok with choke and fast run but it will not idle.
At fast speed it lopes but when I load it with the blade it runs as
it should. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Most likely you have a plugged pilot jet in your carburetor.
