As for the battery I would recommend the 3cell battery that CKRC sells. It is a 1500mha 20c Lipo and it is small in size. It cost $30.00 and comes with deans connectors on it. I have two of them and I have had no problems. I run two motors on my crawler and I get 20 to 30 min run times. Lawn Dart 07-07-2009, 04:22 PM thanks WyldWeazel 07-12-2009, 10:08 AM I am running the FXR with a 3c lipo. I am running a 55 turn motor (that is important because the high turns don't pull any juice, but you don't get monster wheel speed). My battery pack is a Common Sence 1250mah with a 10C discharge. With the 55 turn battery, I don't pull enough juice to even begin stressing this battery. Better yet, you can get one of these batteries for $15-20. Oh, with my 55t I get monster run times. 45-55 minutes on a charge. However that is very dependant on your throttle finger. if you see what I mean. LOL! Some day I would like to get a Torque Master motor from Holmes motors. When I order that, I will probally get a 35 turn. If I do, I will re-address my lipo selection at that time. That motor maybe powerful enough to stress the battery. ;) Take care. Jim Lawn Dart 07-12-2009, 08:28 PM Are you running a bec with that? I am going to order one probably tonight a castle creations one since I find out now that this esc can handle 3s but will over heat if I dont have a bec installed. I guess I just dont understand how this bec if going to lower the operating temp and why my old lrp had no problems with heat or glitching but the new fxr does? WyldWeazel 07-15-2009, 03:00 AM The Tekin works fine, if you don't have monster torque. The bec allows the Tekin to focus on speed control only. The servos can pull some serious draw that will cause them to thermal out. My tekin would thermal in 2 minutes with my Hytec 5675 servo. With my Sport bec, I never have any issues with thermo even with my 11V 3s battery. Have fun. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
