So I hear the Battle Machines are starting to show up, but I don't think they've made it to the East Coast yet (or at least Syracuse, NY). For those who have seen them in stores, how are they doing sales wise? Are they warming the pegs or flying off them? Is there a particular cast that's hard to find so far?

Reason I ask is I really want them (just 5 + the 1/32 scale Battle Rig), but I ain't got the $$ to get a whole set just yet. Just wondering how the sales are doing to decide if I should wait till they go down in price or right away before they disappear.

Your post is the first I've heard of these, so I had to go look for some pics. I haven't seen them here in Virginia yet, but can't say they're all that exciting. I could only see picking up the semi trucks and the police car. For that reason, I'm not sure how well they'll sell. They might fly off the pegs when they first start showing up, just 'cause of the scalpers, but I think they'll eventually be easy to find.

I got a set of all 12 coming from the Bay. Figured I probably would not see them around here anyway. Only got a couple of the larger Wal-Marts that carry Jada (& they don't carry too much at that).

I'd love to get all 12, but I don't have the $$ for all of them, plus I try to stick to my "philosophy" of getting one cast of each. Plus, I want to get the 1/32 scale Battle Rig to keep in scale with the 1/64 scale cars. Worst case scenoario, if I miss out on them, then I will have to get a whole set.

We'll see.

I haven't seen any new Jada diecasts. My Wally's are only getting the RC stuff.

Just got mine today & they are very nice

I really like the kill markings on the back of the black Camaro & the Taxi has to be my favorite overall. The only nit-pick I have is the Battle Machines logo printed on all the vehicles.

Mine came in the original case which is a 12 pack assortment.

I'll get some pics up in the next day or so, but they are pretty much exactly like the photos released by Jada. Hopefully a series 2 is in the future as well.....................

I've been checking the usual suspects (TRU, K-Mart, etc) from NC to PA for over a month now -- and have yet to see a single one. I even made my friend drive me around to a couple of places earlier this month when I was out in Seattle and nada.

Really want a full set, as they would go great with my Speed Rally game. http://speedrally.net

TRU has a two pack of remote control cars.... the red Mustang and one of the trucks. They have laser tag cannons and receivers so you can actually blast one another while running up and down the driveway. kinda neat

I saw these at Target today. Not my thing but I was tempted to buy the PD Mustang.
They were $2.99 each.

WOW, $2.99!! That's not a bad price considering they're in clamshell packaging! At that price, I'm definitely picking some up.

Sorry about the double post, but forgot to ask something. young1, at Target, were they crowding the pegs or were there not many of them?

The pegs were full like they had just been stocked. That Target had just done a reset. Stopped by this afternoon and it looked like half were gone.
I saw them at another Target today and also at a WM. Didn't notice how many were hanging.

They are a part of the new target reset. They only have 2 pegs and only 5 fit per peg. This left 2 missing from a full case. Of course they had to be the two rigs, the ones my son wanted the most. I asked if they had any more and when they scanned them it said none in stock room. However, I would be they were back there. i just drove 15 min to the next target and found them there. Def worth the $2.99.

Thanks, dude!!

I was hoping to win the entire set on Jada's Vault contest, but oh well.

Picked up a set of 6 the other day at Target and had me an opening party today. These things are awesome!! The rotating cannons on the Dually and Big Rig are cool. I like these so much I might get the other 6 to complete the set.

The $2.99 price ain't too shabby, either. I was surprised at that price for a clamshell packaging, but then (after opening) saw they had a plastic base. As long as the exterior has good detailing and is diecast, I don't mind it at all if it brings down the price a bit to make it affordable. I hope this is a trend other diecast companies follow to make collecting more affordable.

I hear ya as I bought the complete set figuring I wouldn't Win the Vault Contest and I was right .... lol .... Seems to be getting harder and harder to Win these days as I have gotten all the questions right but thats not how its all determined .... Its luck after that if you get chosen for the prize .... Oh well I will keep on trying and maybe, maybe I will win one .... Who knows .... Its all in fun anyways ....

Yes you should get the rest as they are pretty cool even though they do have the plastic bottoms .... I like the Rigs the most as they are more beefier in looks and size .... I cracked all mine loose the day I purchased them .... Funny story here as I saw them in Walmart and bought 1 at first before buying the rest ( the Rig ) and went outside after purchasing it and cracked it open to see if they were worth buying and after I opened it I went right back in and bought the rest before they disappeared .... lol ....True story....

All of the Battle Machines are showing up here but I'm only impressed with their wheels, not the car. I will give Jada credit for at least trying to come up with different theme's for diecast cars.

Battle Machines have stalled in the Toy Aisle as they are sitting on my pegs at Walmart and Target.....I keep seeing new sneak peeks of Jada but no release dates as of yet....

I have seen them also in Walmart and Target, and really not my style... thought I might pick up one of the Camaros, but, once in hand, put it right back.

For anyone interested, don't think it was mentioned, have seen a couple of these in boxes, 1/43rd scale I believe, at Target... had a Camaro and a big Rig... the doors open on the Camaro!

I just happened to see some at Target today. Never had heard of them before today. They only had 4 on the pegs. I am a Mad Max / PAW movie fan, so I had to pick them up. This is one set that I have to collect them all! I got the series 1 orang Camaro, Green Challenger, Red Pickup, and Blue Bel-air. I don't really care for the clean looking ones too much like the red Pickup and the Bel-Air, but I still gotta get em anyways

Can't wait to see what some of the customizers do to these things!

I hit another Target and got more of them. I think the only ones I am missing now is the dirty Battle Rig and the two Mustangs. I think the black Camaro is my favorite so far.

I thought they would have done better.... they are pretty much peg warmers around here. Of course, if I had enough money to spare I would probably snatch up a few more than the one I already got.

Picked up the 2 new 1/64 scale battle rigs at Wal-Mart yesterday. They are part of the 1/32 scale collection (just like the 1/87 battle rigs are in the 1/64 line) & come packaged in boxes.

The only thing they cheaped out on is instead of 2 totally different paint jobs & graphics like the 1/64 wave, they just had 2 different paint jobs, but the same graphics on each. :(

I'll post some pics next to the original releases in the next couple of days.

Here are the new 1/64 Battle Rigs. Much like their smaller counterparts, the bodies are diecast with the base being plastic.

1st pix shows the 2 different color schemes. 2nd pix shows the size difference with the 1/87 version. Last pix is a group scene showing how great they look next to the 1/64 cars.

http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=270777

I picked up all but one today at target...

Didnt really notice the scale diff in the rigs until I got home...der...says 1:87 right on them...

So I'll be hunting the bigger rigs...

Also working up a couple customs to go along with em...

I'll post a couple pics when I get em done...

Hope they come out with some more...
