Went to several sales on Thursday with no results. Had to go to Cassopolis to get a deworming pill for our cat. On the way back home I stopped at a yard sale and found a battery operated Eldon track without the cars, battery pack, and instructions.
The box is in great shape as is the track. I put it together, hooked an Aurora power pack to it and got the outside lane to work. Had fun watching a Hot Coupe T-jet sliding around the 2' X 3' oval.
I paid $2.00 for it. Wasn't going to mess with it, but the condition of the box hooked me. Randy.

Forgot to mention that on the bottom of the straight pieces it has 1961 stamped on it. Gee, I was born in 1965.

They sure are having fun on the box for no bigger than that thing is! And what's with the tank in the background?

It's an M-5A1 Light Tank, 1/8th, scale Radio Controlled. Got it at Wal-Mart about 4 years ago. Didn't use quality parts in it. Had to replace a busted gear in the drive train twice and will have to do some work to the idler wheels.
But it has been fun. I run it out in the yard quite a bit. Got over three acres of uneven hilly yard for it. Randy.

careful, that stuff can be addictive... i started out with a couple sets like that and ended up buying a couple of pretty big lots of some of the later Eldon 1/32 stuff (some from BobZilla here, I think...). still got it, hoping to find a place to set it up semi-permanently. the big plastic-bodied Eldon stock/street cars kinda handle like huge Tjets...

Great find! I started out with an Eldon set back in '66/67. Was an over and under set that came with a Plymouth Belvedere in an almost Petty blue and a white fastback Charger. We used to go through those brushes.:thumbsup: rr
