Has anyone experienced their chariot build up front and rear windows fogging from the inside? or the side plastic windows having minor cracks in them?

Let me know - and a solution...Thanks LIS FAN

I use Krystal Klear watchmakers cement on all my clear parts, because it never causes any fogging at all. It's cheap, available thru MicroMark Small Tools Supply.

Any kind of cyanoacrylate (the "super glue" family) can cause this effect. There are glues manufactured specifically to avoid it, and the one that Tim referenced is a good one.

Regular plastic model glue for polystyrene fogs clear parts, too. I have to remind myself that I can't even test fit clear parts while there is drying glue on the parts I'm fitting them on.

Thanks for the feedback - I guess what's odd - is the windows were ok for about 2-3 months...then the fogging and cracking occurred...is that unusual or would it take that long for the windows to fog/crack if everything was air tight?

The fumes from the CA could've been leaching out very slowly over the course of a couple of months. With the kit sealed up, it may take that long for enough fumes to accumulate. Definitely go with crystal cement for clear parts. I us GS Hypo Cement with good results.

If you can get inside the canopy, you can apply some "Future" to the fogged areas, it will make the fogging less noticeable (kinda like moisturizer on dry skin)
But it won't help the cracking, did you coat the clear parts with future before?
I'm guessing no. It will really help those big clear parts look lots better.

Fine plastic polish and a soft Q-Tip will remove hazing as well.

Sorry to hear about your situation

Thanks for all t he feedback - I just don't know how to crack the Chariot open now and get to the front glass as well as the back glass - I may have to make the top bubble moveable?!

I will let you know - Thanks LIS FAN
