That Monte was ugly enough without the Nascar graphics. Now it's a vomit inducing eyesore.

Ooooh the pain of it all.
At least it's a STOCK car, which is more than you can say for those "stock cars".

i really don't see anything wrong with it. i actually think it looks cool. this certainly isn't the first car to be done up to look like a nascar. at least the make and model is correct unlike a lot of them i see. i think it is funny how everyone seems to care what everyone else is doing when it has no effect on them. i also think it is funny to get bent out of shape by calling that car a vomit inducing eyesore. if the person who owns it is happy then why should it matter?? there are plenty of uglier cars on the road than this one and we could be here posting them forever. some might consider it ugly but there will be just as many that like it too. they might think the cars you like are vomit inducing eyesores. just remember, if everyone liked the same things, this world would be a pretty boring place.;)

I believe I have the answer to "Why?" I am assuming that the rest of the question was "Why do they post bright yellow signs with stick figure drawings at busy intersections such as this one?"

A pedestrian crossing, or crosswalk, is a designated point on a road at which some means are employed to assist pedestrians wishing to cross. They are designed to keep pedestrians together where they can be seen by motorists, and where they can cross most safely with the flow of vehicular traffic. Pedestrian crossings are often at intersections, but may also be at other points on busy roads that would otherwise be perilous to attempt to cross. They are common near schools or in other areas where there are a large number of children. Crosswalks can be considered a traffic calming technique. Signs are normally posted at these crosswalks to show pedestrians as well as motorists where these crosswalks are.

wow guys... it was merely a sarcastic question meant as fun. I don't care what anyone drives... it's their prerogative. I just thought I'd post it up as you don't see this sort of thing all that often.

There is a guy here in Hammonton that has a Lumina done up in the Interstate Batteries colors, and a couple of towns over there is a guy with a 96 or 97 T-Bird that's just like Dale Jarrett's Quality Care Ford. I like both of them.
Two days ago I saw an old Econoline sitting at a light. It didn't have any numbers or sponsor logos, but it was blue with the same red and white stripes that were on Dale Jarrett's car in the 90's. Yes, the van was a little battered, but I couldn't help but smile anyway.

Maybe it's the CEO of Lowe's? I'm a 48 fan and at least the graphics are correct to fit. I have seen a lot worse cars with homemade graphics that don't look anything like the "real" Nascar.

There is a Lumina in my town also done up as Interstate Batteries , Though I havent seen it in a while .. The dealer I work at took in trade a newer Monte Ernhardt Junior edition that was plastered with decals like the one pictured .. It sat on the lot for nearly a year . They decided to take off all the stickers & it sold with in a week !! Those Nascar replicas are only for the few diehard fans , most dont want 'em ..

Funny, though, this the only time a NASCAR race car would stand out from the other cars.

I'm sorry. I guess my computer neglected to display that part of the question. On my computer it only shows "Why?" so I tried to help with an answer.

I do have a message out to Microsoft asking why my computer is not showing all the text and hopefully I will get a response but who knows if my computer will allow me to view it. ;)

(man am I tired. hope everybody had a great weekend!)

why are the traffic lights sideways?

alex1485

no, you mean, why are traffic lights always vertical.

Strong winds turned 'em sideways? :) I've seen some like those somewhere, but don't recall where. Not Colorado, AZ, PA, or Ohio...maybe Florida.

I am all business when it comes to humor and sarcasm and I sometimes forget the indicators. ;)

Now if I was being serious I would have simply answered Advertising :)

as far as I can tell, the lights are mounted horizontally for two reasons....

less inertia involved when the wind does get nasty and...

more vertical clearance in case something tall happens to go through that area i.e. 18 wheeler or something even bigger.

moderately educated guesses these are.:freak:

I always wanted to get a Grand Prix and paint like Kyle Petty's Hot Wheels car from the late 1990's. It was always cooler than his Mello Yello car.

Not my favorite driver, but I still think it looks cool, but would look much better with some black racing wheels. In Florida (where btw the traffic lights are verticle) there was a guy with one of the 80's Montes painted in Earnhardts Wrangler paint sceme, with the correct wheels, it looked awesome, he even had a roll cage in it. I always wanted to do one in Richard Petty's old blue and red color scheme.
