This is NOT, repeat NOT, nor does it attempt to be a replication of a Lotus 25. Infact its got a CHEVY Bow Tie on the nose. It IS painted in the Lotus 25 colors campaigned by Jimmy Clark back in the early '60's. For those who may not know of whom I speak, Jimmy Clark was to F1 in the '60's as to what Dale Earnhardt was to NASCAR in the last decade. (If you don't know who Dale Earnhardt was...I just can't help you. Go on line and look up Jimmy Clark and Dale Earnhardt.) But Jimmy didn't "intimmidate" he just drove the wheels off everyone he came around. An amazing driver. Like to some when Earnhardt was killed they lost the urge to watch NASCAR. When Clark was killed in '68 I lost the urge to watch F1. It just wasn't the same and has never been the same since.

Torpedo got to take it out this afternoon. When he got back I've never seen an old man so happy. He got out and went into a "Moonwalk" :p He even had a black "Bell" helmet with a white visor like Clarks.

Sweet looking ride

I know what you mean.... I lost my interest in F1 when Alain Prost "The Professor" retired and Ayrton Senna then turned it into a demolition derby :(

It may just have been my youth but I don't remember anyone ever having anything bad to say about Clark, or his driving. I do recall someone, prior to one of the races, painting " JIM CLARK GO HOME!" on the road entering the track, one time. It really didn't seem to effect him too much......He won the race anyway. :p

I'd of liked to use some different wheels on it but the OD's were all just too small. This is a pretty big car. I'd consider it somewhere around 1/50 scale maybe a bit smaller. I'd of actually liked the wheels to have stood a bit taller. Don't know what that would have done to the ride height though. I had to notch the rear wheel's axle waaay up into the body as it was. Still would have liked to have had some really nice alloys to have gone on it.
