hey guys.a buddy of mine just gave me a garage sale find. a 1/32 scale set by speed world.made in hong kong/china,and designed in europe it says on the box.i thought at first it was a cheap artin knock off,as it is only equipped with a six volt transformer.strange indeed.but then i stuck these "crappy" cars on the track!wow.these cars really did well at 12 volts.quiet and controllable even with the stock rubber.all i did was true the rears and oil them and these no name f1 cars smoked the scx car my buddy figured would kill me for sure.i blew his doors off!the set says montreal on it,and i would guess it is loosely based on that circuit for f1 they used to do there in villeneuve's heyday.don't know much about f1 myself.any way i got three f1 cars that are good runners, and this track came with really nice clip on aprons for all the corners.strange thing is though the curves are all 1/3!not a 1/4 or 1/8 in the bunch!wierd, but interesting.anyway, any info on this company would be appreciated,so i can figure out what i got here, and if it is worth trying to expand upon.thanks!

Is the set definitely a 1/32 set? From what you described it sounds like a 1/43 scale set. If possible, please post some pictures of the set race track and the cars.

Best regards,
Brian

yup.it's 1/32.SPEED WORLD MONTREAL SPEED RACING.With f1 cars, generic fictitious liveries, blue and yellow, respectively, down on bottom left 1/32 professional, bottom right, scale speed 169 k/ph,and 123 mph..layout dimensions 297x133 cm,117 inch x 52.4 inch,6 volt transformer, two thumb controllers, resistors and fuses soldered to motor from a very deep and robust guide keel.good little cars at 12 volts too,btw..cool thing about this set is being obviously generic,it has some really great turn borders, and i can drift as much as i want and stay slotted.the track is sectional plastic, with the dotted white line artin is famous for,and similar connectors to artin 1/43 which i also own.cars are similar to artin aswell, but much better than their 1/43 stuff.cars proved faster than scx f1 cars that came with it as a bonus.(my buddy kept those)anyway,no pics for now as i am without camera.hope this info helps.curious as to whether or not they are related to artin,as i have a good layout of 1/43 artin stuff, and my 1/43 artin stuff runs great on this track, making for some very entertaining drift action!any info appreciated.neil vic bc canada
