RS,Just took a look on tower for the 4-cell esc.They have a 13.5 w/ 4-cell esc listed, but didn't see a Li-Po low voltage "cut-off" in the description.I would contact Novak
before running a 1-cell with it.

Don't worry about cut-off, don't run more than 5 min.

Brad is right. You don't need to worry about the cutoff. I ran the 4 cell with and SMC 1C all last season, and at the carpet nats (Finished 6th) with no issues.

Heres some Novak 4-cell GTB info http://www.teamnovak.com/products/esc/gtb_4cell/index.html I,ve ran my GTB 4-cell esc in 13.5 1 cell lipo with no problems at all. I dont think the Lipo cut off is an issue with one cell when the 1 cell pack falls below 3.0 volts you know it in advance due to the very noticeable lose of speed.

All Novak escs operate well on 4 cell (NiMH) or 1S lipo. They were designed for low voltage performance.

For one cell racing, we designed the SmartBoost module, which is two circuits in one----a 1S lipo cut-off circuit and a booster for the other electronics in the set-up that are not optimized for low voltage operation:

So should one "enable" or "disable" the Li-Po cut-off in the GTB when using 1-cell with smartboost module??Thanks NovakTwo ;)

you will have to disable the 2s lipo cutoff that is in the gtb speedo,then just install the booster and you will have no worries becouse the smart boost has a built in cutoff that you dont have to turn on.
