What a joke! I guess he should of thought of that before he ripped up everyone's hard work and decided to build a Pitbike and bmx track and have overnight camping. Should be alot of money in that!

Thanks, we appreciate the update...but I guess just as has been stated here...why would he just go and tear up the track and layout that so many of us had worked so hard on? There was months of planning and discussion that went into that layout.

The person/people who have/had done his layouts were never consulted, or even asked what improvements could be used. I guess when you have somebody design a track for you that has drawn a consistent crowd...why go off and change it with no prior notice? To me, it seems incredibly short-sighted to change a layout that had been approved by the Kyosho factory sponsored driver who runs the series that we were supposed to host a race for this coming weekend...

Also note that when those of us involved tried to reach him, he never responded...and then he posted on his MX website that he had a new pitbike "track" for kids...not an "RC" track...

Sounds to me as if somebody got caught with their pants down on this one...:jest:

idk what tony is feeding to you guys, but there is no hope for the r/c track in my opinion. he has no scoring system, no one to run the races, and a lot of racers that are not happy with him. all i can say is best of luck to anyone that would like to try and pull it off

I can not believe that no one camped out and ran the pit bikes under the lights, the rcers did it. And how is this rc pit bike track going to work, if rcers show up to run/ practice will they have to put the tube down, pay and then drive? Oh then when the pit bikes show up to ride, we have to pack up and go home, na I think I am done.

ROFL WOW is all i can say, I was at the track in the past couple of days and I dont know what Tony is feed to you man but I have no hope that mx131 will ever hold rc races again. And if the day comes where Tony attemps it again, I wont be part of it in any way, shape, or form. Tony has pissed off alot of people and has done alot of people wrong. And the biggest thing that bothers me about this whole thing is that when I saw him that day at the track he attempted to talk to me, as if he did nothing wrong to me or anyone else. I will say this I could barely stand tony when mx131 was in "it's prime". But this makes it so I would rather drive 5hrs away or just give up on rc than race at any track Tony is apart of. I find that this whole thread and postings of mx131 hold races is just wrong I can only think that either Tony is the one posting this or the one pulling the strings on the person posting. But I hope that Tony is right thinking that pit bike racing is the next big thing to come to michigan, cause when he finds out it is nothing but a big waste of time I will be the first one there to laugh and tell him I told u so. So here is my goodbye to what could have been a very good thing. OH WELL.

So who is coming to roman grounds this weekend for the tri-county race??????? LOL

Evey single person Tony told about his idea of having a pit bike/rc track, said it would not work, he did not listen, and did it anyway, so the DRAMA of the rc track is gone for good and there is no way the rc track will ever make it at mx131 after what Tony did. The mx131 is once again just for dirt bikes and pit bikes, Tony should just update his website, and take the rc stuff off before he screws up anyone elses weekends that does not know what has happened, and shows up to race, cause the race dates are still on there.

Following up on what has been said about the scoring system...are you buying one, Tony? It has been made pretty apparent in these posts that the rightful owner has picked his stuff up, and there is no scoring system now...

Does our race fee come with a complimentary stop watch and pit girl to work it?

wow i think you all need to get a life and find something else to talk about....im sure you dont talk to tony and know his logic and reason behind the whole "RC" thing. The truth is that at MX131 there were a lot more mx riders then rc, so he had to accommodate the customers that come the most. I know that this was a hard decision and when i talked to him he told me that he hated to do it but the fact was that there was only 14 RC members to 375 MX members. The last RC race he had scheduled to do was a load of crap...no one showed up that was suppose to. He had a couple of RC guys that wanted to race but he had to turn them down because no one was working it. So in the end it just makes him look bad. When the track was and RC track, it seemed like little kids wanted to ride it the whole time and tony always had to tell them no...i know that for a fact because my little boy wanted to ride on it and instead had to ride with the big guys. Now the pit bike track is being used a lot and the little kids are loving it. So all you guys need to suck it up and be done with it.....

Interesting opinion being that I was there to run the last race, and because of weather and a poor turn out they were cancelled. Not sure who else was suppose to be there "working it", so I guess it was my fault. What a joke!

Also nice that 2 weeks before a large regional race was suppose to run at mx131 tony decided to trash the RC track. He was looking for large turnouts and when a large race was scheduled he was the one that prevented it from happening.

motocross fan: Interesting to get the opinion from a motocross person on the whole thing and I am not surprised with your comments. Hank and I have been involved since day 1 of the RC track and have put in a lot of time and effort to get this thing going and keep it going. As Hank indicated, the weather was bad for the last few races, but the last race that was held did have a good turn-out, including about 12 guys from the East side of the state.

I do understand Tony's reasoning behind doing all this: MONEY! He is in financial distress and did not see the income from the RC side that HE expected. From day 1 several people that have helped out indicated that you will not get rich of having an RC track, especially not the first few years. There is money to be invested to build a nice facility and it will take a while before you see that money back.

Like Hankster indicated: Tony decided to make this big change 2 weeks prior to the biggest race of the season and expected to be able to pull it off. For the people involved on the RC side, this was the last drop and decided that we did not want to spend any more time and effort into the RC part of the MX131 facility, as it became more and more of a headache than pleasure dealing with it.

So with that said, MX131 is no longer an RC facility and everybody has moved on, except you I guess. There are plenty of RC tracks in the area to run and race on. Good luck with the whole pit bike thing at MX131!

That would be a good Question to ask at the next big, camp in the dirt, pit bike bombfire.
