View Full Version : Dead wheelszk 06-25-2009, 01:06 PM Farrah Fawcett died this morning in Santa Monica at the age of 62. :( videojimmy 06-25-2009, 01:44 PM I worked on her documentary "Farrah's Story" about her fight with cancer. It will probably air a bunch times over the weekend on MSNBC. What boy from my generation didn;t have her poster? Dranoel Dragon 06-25-2009, 05:08 PM It's funny, When Charly's Angels was on, Kate jackson was my fave, And later on, Cheryl Ladd and Tanya Roberts. But all through my Jr and Sr years of High school I had the "Life Size" poster of her in a blue spandex cat suit on a bicycle on my bedroom door. I bought every issue of Playboy she ever appeared in. I'd be willing to bet Farrah inspired wet dreams in near half the men in America over 40. She was still a knockout at 50 and when I saw her on Letterman a few years ago she still looked fantastic. Cancer really took it's toll on her. I'm sad that she's gone, yet glad that cancer can steal no more of her beauty. wheelszk 06-25-2009, 05:56 PM They just announced that Michael Jackson died from a Heart attack. Not really any contributions to racing that I know of, but there are some movies I remember. I'll never forget seeing her in "Logan's Run", which was partially filmed in Fort Worth, Tx's Water Gardens(just completed back then). She was in the scene when Logan went to the cosmetic surgeon to have his looks altered. Laser surgery? No one will ever do that! Why, that technology is centuries away! And who could ever forget that SciFi masterpiece, "Saturn III". Oh well, no one was watching for the story line anyways. It just seems like she was the first significant blonde after Marilyn Monroe. She had that kind of thing going. Everyone remembers Marilyn as part of that late fifties culture, and Farrah was just as much a part of late seventies culture. Seems like the icons of the seventies, and even some of the eighties are falling out lately. It's depressing to think about, but I'm glad for that era and the folks that made it what it was. We'll miss ya Farrah, now you're really an angel. Rich vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
