Hi,
I'm working on a Kohler K161 spec#281271 with a vintage of around 1977 I have replaced the points and condenser,still I have no spark.Is there a way to check the condition of the ign.mod.with a volt/ohm meter?I hesetate to throw parts at it without knowing for sure that is the problem.I'm finding parts availability is hit and miss.Thanks for your help in advance..

Go to page 2 of the service manuals and there you will find a link to download a service manual for your engine select the TP-2379 this manual will cover your engine and will give you complete test procedures for the ignition system.
