Just want to make sure before I buy...
Novak GTB will run both brushed and brushless motors, correct? That's what I'm getting from Novak's Web site, just want to really make sure before I purchase a used GTB...
Thanks!

Yes, all GTB versions can run brush motors, but the earlier version GTBs did not have the lipo cut-off circuitry. Here is a link to our rmf GTB/SS, with all the info.

Thanks for the information. Now...how many versions of the GTB are there, and is it "software-updateable"?

The only GTBs offered currently are the GTB, GTB Spread Spectrum and the SLYDR. The firmware is not up datable.

Yep, just keep in mind the 4 cell GTB has no "Lipo Cut-Off" provision.

The GTB will run both brushed and brushless BUT, I found it easyer to change motor and speed control when switching than it was to soldier all the wires to the neg terminal on the brushed motor. Just my .02

I agree Bob I first got mine and was going to switch my truck back from brushless to brushed. I started reading the instructions and found it was faster and easier to switch back to a brushed esc
Also thanks for the help guys on the 4 cell ?
No I can get some of my other VTA's going for car show this weekend
