69Stang 03-31-2010, 07:16 AM WOW, another great batch of pics delivered right to our door! I really do dig that milk truck!
Here are the ones we spoke of the other day. I wish I had someway to put the bike into perspective, it's around 15 feet tall!!!!

Nice double rainbow....over our neighborhood bar! To many, this really is the pot of gold waiting for them!!!

OK, pay attention to this one.....notice the high quality range of business to make your life sooooo much better......
from left to right, a liquor store..."As seen on TV" store (that says enough right there)...a jewelers store....yes, right next to AFFORDABLE BOTOX (cause you know I am looking to save money when buying my bochalisim) and then get my nails done at Classy!
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y255/WilsonRacePhotos/On%20The%20Road/0321101214.jpg
For me, it's just the whole concept of AFFORDABLE botox lol!
PWSchuh 03-31-2010, 07:29 AM Milk truck is almost certainly a DIVCO but hard to say what year as they didn't change much year-to-year.
NYSWLHUNTER 03-31-2010, 11:58 AM http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y255/WilsonRacePhotos/On%20The%20Road/0321101214.jpg
Lol, awesome!
Lummox 03-31-2010, 05:16 PM From now on, everytime I think I went to far rusting one of my customs I will look at this pic.
Presenting the gnarliest 55 Olds 88 I've ever seen;

]
One of my favorite '50s cars ever! '55 & '56, though I prefer 98s over 88s.
Modern cars never age with such dignity! Georgous pic SS.
And the Fury is cool too! '71 I think.
I think the milk truck has to be a Divco as well.
So many great ones there SS, the IH is killer, '55 Buick...all so yummy!
You South Westeners are spoilt sumpin wicked! All that cool rust free junk everywhere...I'm so jelous  :D:
BluntFronts 04-01-2010, 11:20 PM I hear you Lummox; that Olds is still a thing of beauty to my eyes. I even like the machine gun zippers down the sides. Whoever thought missing trim could create a new styling gimmick?
I think this is my favorite thread on any board ever; I never know what to expect. (Living in the rust belt means there ain't much interesting stuff left around here.)
I love the IH (& especially CarryAlls) and the 62 GT Hawk, but to me the top o' the heap so far is the BWF Valiant wagon. Never in a million years would I have imagined that one.
I'm takin' my point'n'shoot with me on a mini road trip soon; I hope I can capture something worthy of posting...
NYSWLHUNTER 04-01-2010, 11:48 PM cool. See i have a good idea somewhere in my mush!
GeraldE61 04-02-2010, 12:32 PM No pics, but last week I spotted the nose of a 70 Challenger behind a house, when I have more time I'll check it out.
54belair 04-03-2010, 12:49 AM Driving around Massachusetts in the recent weeks has become a challenge with all the rivers flooding and creating detours everywhere. As the rivers have receded the roads are opening up once again. Here are some road pix from Thursday:
Flooding has become a common occurrence:

BluntFronts 04-03-2010, 01:18 PM Interesting but scary pix. What is that neat building with the clock tower? It looks like it would make great loft apartments.

That's the Ayer Mill, home of New Balance shoes and sneakers...
BluntFronts 04-03-2010, 03:59 PM Thanks - I'm glad it's still in use.
When I lived in Sheboygan, WI, there was a huge complex of abandoned furniture factories that would've made fantastic lofts, but there was no market for that sort of thing in that area at the time. I love old factory architecture, and I'm sad to know that more of it disappears every year.
54belair 04-03-2010, 06:51 PM In this area all the old mill buildings are being renovated into restaurants, retail, condo and office space. it's real nice to see them rehabbed and useful - and they're beautiful inside...

this is the first time for me to see one of these in person.
stupidsquirrels 04-04-2010, 04:48 AM An interesting on the road from Portales to Amarillo.
According to the colorful old guy that walked up to me as I shot these pics (using a .20 gauge double barrel shotgun as a cane), that New Yorker is powered by a 69 440 w/ six pack carb that he gutted out of a wrecked 69 Super Bee (scoop looks right for a Super Bee)

Poor Road Runner. I got to head down there and save it.
BluntFronts 04-05-2010, 07:13 PM Wow, stupidsquirrels, that Chevy Sedan Delivery is fantastic. I can’t believe no one has rescued it yet. Tons of potential there.
And the Volare Road Runner reminds me of an older guy that I worked with in CA who drove one, and he called it his “Hot Vidalia Option”. He was pretty funny.
Here’s what I found over the weekend:
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i10/bluntfronts/50spanel.jpg
Chevy or Pontiac?; I couldn't tell for sure.
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i10/bluntfronts/bigDeVil.jpg
I used to drive one of these '76 DeVilles. I almost forgot how huge they are. Surprisingly cramped interior, but an incredibly smooth ride. 5000 lbs is good for something.
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i10/bluntfronts/MBsjag.jpg
I think these guys are all waiting for parts (or payment.)
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i10/bluntfronts/boldneon.jpg
Enthusiasm is wherever you find it. Who am I to criticize?
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i10/bluntfronts/lemans.jpg
Great lines no matter how bad the paint gets.

Ah, top down at twilight...

Chevy or Pontiac?; I couldn't tell for sure.
Chevy for sure. '51 or a '52 is the year.
BluntFronts 04-05-2010, 07:44 PM Thanks, LMX; strangely enough I knew the year from the rear fender shape, but I couldn't remember the differences in the front details.
They never seem to drive this one, but they sure do keep it shiny.
Lummox 04-05-2010, 08:29 PM Yuh! I thought it was strange that YOU didn't know the make.
I know that you know a TON about old cars!
BluntFronts 04-05-2010, 09:58 PM Yuh! I thought it was strange that YOU didn't know the make.
I know that you know a TON about old cars!
Hey, thanx, dude! I know you do, too. I was impressed that you know how to tell a '62 GT Hawk from the '63/'64.
I had to give up on the naming of the car pix thread; it made my head hurt after just a couple of them!
Here's a challenge: Do you know what year stupidsquirrel's Chevy Sedan Delivery is up there? I haven't looked it up yet, but I like it even better than the classic '49-'54.
Lummox 04-05-2010, 10:22 PM Oh, the black one that has the curious louvered hood?
Curious because that seems to be the one and only custom touch on it ever!
Yeah, it's a '47 or a '48. Don't know how to tell those 2 years apart.
Lummox 04-05-2010, 10:31 PM Just looked it up, it's a '48.
And the white one is a '52.
BluntFronts 04-05-2010, 11:52 PM yep, my search on the top one was inconclusive. So many images are mislabeled that I can't tell what's what. But '48 sounds good to me!
They were nearly all customs, though, so I hope someone restores SS's ruff Texample, for a change of pace. It would be great for a business (or a band?), but I would actually drive it around, unlike Woodard's static signboard.
But I do see the '52 grille now. For some reason that front looked custom to me before.
Lummox 04-06-2010, 12:00 AM Right, exactly...I was thinking the same thing that the '48 should be restored stock.
Like you, every stinkin' last pic I saw, was customized...in a less than tastefull way too I might add. :(
stupidsquirrels 04-06-2010, 01:09 PM I wish I knew for sure, but I believe it's a 48.
there was a reg. tag from a street machine swapmeet, but it was too faded to read.
Lummox 04-06-2010, 01:19 PM I'm sayin' I DO know fer shurs...it IS a '48
stupidsquirrels 04-06-2010, 03:48 PM I'm sayin' I DO know fer shurs...it IS a '48
Purty ain't it?
Lummox 04-06-2010, 10:04 PM Purty ain't it?
Downright beautifull!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah, and actually I WOULDN'T restore it.
Just mechanically, then leave everything else alone.
BluntFronts 04-06-2010, 10:48 PM Downright beautifull!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah, and actually I WOULDN'T restore it.
Just mechanically, then leave everything else alone.Hey I'd vote for that route, too. I like all-original-looking Street Survivors as much as the perfectly restored ones. They're probably more rare, too.
Lummox 04-07-2010, 12:35 AM I like origonal paint on cars no matter how "bad" the paint. I like 'em BETTER than restored ones! :)
54belair 04-07-2010, 08:35 AM Here are three I saw last weekend...

Lummox 04-07-2010, 10:59 AM Way cool pix 54b. Don't think I've ever seen a 1:1 Unimog. Just the #49 Lesney!
I think the walk-in van could be an early '60s Ford??? Maybe???

Thanx. I knew you'd like the Mog...
Maybe a Ford - the headlight placement would be right. The quarter window is wrong for a Chevy and the roof seems to be too rounded for an Int'l...
smoke14 04-08-2010, 12:27 AM I'm diggin' that '75 Laguna S-3, was the nose in better shape than the rest of the body? I'd love to have a wagon version of one
Lummox 04-08-2010, 11:58 AM The Laguna'a a '75 for sure? I didn't know they made Lagunas that late.
smoke14 04-08-2010, 03:42 PM The Laguna'a a '75 for sure? I didn't know they made Lagunas that late.
They sure did, '75 and '76s had the shovel nose to conform to NASCAR regulations. Rare birds, that's why I asked what condition the nose was in. I personally like the early nose better, but one can't be picky :D

It would appear so. I am up in Concord but have made the journey to Salem many many times. I would guess you are somewhere near or in Mathuen?
