This is memorial is in Muskegon, Mi. Each of the five pyramids around the base represents a branch of our military, and each pyramid is engraved with the names of men from the area who served and died.

That blue Rallye SAAB looks like it could be from the 2 stroke variety. I remember as a kid seeing SAABs on the streets with their very distinct sound and trail of blue smoke.

Those are all V-4 4 strokes.
You can tell by the height of the windshield it's a '68.
Last year for the old grill, first year for the V-4.

The Sonnett II is the first bodystyle and had 3-cyls in them exept for the last year or two they put the V-4 in them.
You can tell this one's a V-4 cuzza the big bump in the hood.

Me an my brothers' had SAABs piled tree-top high.

I can't believe that old Jag is just sitting there!

The Fiats' are cool, those are coupe versions of the 124 Spider.

07-27-2010, 10:33 PM
Ya know Dave, I meant to take a shot just of the engine so you guys could have a look at it. I know some of them, but there are a lot that I just don't know. I didn't recognize this one. It's big. That's all I can say. Anyhow, I meant to take a shot of the engine, but I was already trespassing and my camera was falling apart (on account of because I used it to test the gravity over my driveway), so the second shot I took looked just like the first one. Duh! I'll have to watch and see if this car shows up again. I think it will because it was parked in the lot of a factory near my house. Whoever drives it probably works there. I'll be on the lookout for it now so I can get a pic of that mill for ya.

went driving in june with my son in the car just to find some cool stuff to take pictures of and well....the weeds are burying everything here in north carolina, so i only have 2 pics to share
this car has not moved in the 12 years since i first saw it parked under this shed

these cars are GONE, i think the old man who owned them passed away so i am guessing either the family took them or sold them as far as i knew they both were running because they were constantly being moved to different parts of his yard

UPDATE:
went by the field where this one was parked, and alas......it was gone..:drunk::(
HOWEVER, it was not sold, merely moved into the owners shop where it is undergoing a complete makeover. all bodywork repaired and the Flathead V8 re-installed. apparently the seats, which were original,
were covered in a canvas type seat cover, that when removed, were in excellent shape. the owner informed me IT WILL BE READY for the
Fourth of July Parade. Stay Tuned, I'll post pictures of it when it is completed.

I know I'm a dick for wishing this, but I sorta hope it looses them business.
It wouldn't make me think they are a quality establishment worthy of my dollar.
