I took this video today of my son on his new skateboard. I read somewhere that if I posted it on Photobucket.com that it may open up my entire folder for everyone. Can someone look at it and tell me if I have opened it all up or just posted the video? He is a very balanced kid and has only tried this for about 30 minutes from never having skated on a board before. I have not posted anything that I would not want anyone to see but I just would like an honest opinion on the private view. When I open it, it shows all of my pics. Does it do the same for you? Thanks, David

David,

Can only see the vidieo of your son on his skateboard from my side of the screen so, you are aLL :thumbsup:good. That smile on his face as he rides towards you just brings back memories...keep on skating! He has only just begun.......30 min, no broken bones = GO FOR IT! :woohoo:

Aaaaaaaaaaaaah the memories. I live on my skateboard and my BMX Roger Decoster bike all summer long! Was lucky enough to find a NOS "CAL240" el cheapo skateboard that was my first one about 10 years ago at a Toy Show in Kansas.

Still need to find my second skateboard which was a blue "Roller Derby XK" with a very generous kickitail on it from SEARS.

One year I picked up a used SIMS board!! I put new sandpaper on it and a SIMS sticker in the cut out space I made in the middle. Bought new trucks and tires...finaly made it to the big time.

Back in the 70s as a kid. Was always looking for a way to make a buck. I shoveled snow and had a route of normal people just like a paper route. One Saturday it was snowing like MAD. First shoveled our single driveway and then went to work all day. Had to sit down on the way home from my last driveway now and then from plain beeing tuckered out.

Soon as I got home I headed down to the Hobby Store with my $40.00 shoveling money and bought an orange anodized skateboard with some trick Pony Orange wheels! Rode around on our driveway when I got home...oh man thanks for all the skateboard memories. Hope your kid has some good times on that...it is more than just a skateboard. It is a tranportation mode of freedom...Yeah baby!

I have one wooden skateboard with metal wheels & one wooden board with clay type wheels next to my CAL240. I grew up on a street that had some real big hills to skate down from every side of us...oh yeah!

My friends older brother, who lived right across the street from us, went to California to ride at some skateparks one summer. When he got back he built a huge wooden skate ramp in thier driveway but, nobody could ride it but, my friend and his brother as they were worried about liability. This is funny because, Chris and I always put trash can lids (the metal ones) down and jumped over them from one board to another board on the other side.

I must stop here as the letters TMI seem to be creaping in now.

Bob...a simple yes or no would have been suficiant...zilla

Thanks Bob, LOL We used to have the Roger Decoster posters all over the walls. The boards have changed since the days when I used to scoop Missouri snow for a Spring time purchase. Thanks for the comeback on the question I asked. This kid is gonna ......need insurance.....and butt pads as he tells it. Thanks. Did everyone need a JOFA chin guard? David

Yes and no ....

Depends on how ya post your video. Blow the entire photobucket video up full screen, reset it and stop it, then right click and copy the address line, close photobucket and attach your copy to your Hobby Talk post. Shouldnt show your bucket. Works the same with still shots.
