Here are some trucks I built from Ideal TCR Slotless vehicles in the '90's(what the #*(< were they thinking when they made this unworkable slotless system ?).
The 1st is a chrome Box trailer towed by a red tractor that is on its original IDEAL Slotted chassis. The red Tractor is from the "Knightrider" set that paired it with "KITT" -a black Firebird. The rear hole had to be widened so the trailor could fit.The original slotted IDEAL chassis works well as long as you can trash the original rear wheels & change them for an AFX specialty (4-gear) rear wheels,axle & silicone slicks.The Chrome box trailor has been modified by the process of "Dremelation" to use part of an Aurora rear trailor section using TCR front wheels & gold TYCO guide pins.
The Gold Tanker has been modified using a rear TYCO section & added Military bits for more detailing.All have been modified with plastruct so their pins work with all tractors.All types of trailors (TYCO,Aurora/AW) can work with the modified tractors.
All of the tractors except 2 are modified with plastruct to work on a TOMY G+ chassis & the original Ideal TCR chassis's trashed. All of the cab-overs & one of the tractors needed to have a rear section fabricated with plastruct to which the original rear mudflap sections were attached.
Does anybody know what brand(s) of trucks these were meant to represent ? The White Cab-over has the letter's "TCR" on its grill so these may be just generic. I will look in my Tad Burness Truck / Van spotters guide when I get the chance. Any help from those in the trucking industry or just knowledgable would be appreciated
I may modify the red tractor still on its original IDEAL TCR chassis to run on a TOMY G+ chassis. I will add an additional axle in the rear so I will have a true 18 wheeler.The faded white tractor with gold wheels may be a good candidate to be modified into part of a "DueL" set

Well..... going by grill looks alone, I would guess the blue cab over is kinda reminscent of a Ford. The white cab over is a mishmash of different trucks. The grill is sort of Kenworthish, but there were others who had a tall skinny grill too. Pete being one. Not sure about what the others... white, freightliner, mack had in the grill dept.. Hard to say.. I think they went the cheap way out and made basic generic trucks.. with a hint of this and that just to distinguish one from the other
