Todd Putnam 06-19-2009, 03:50 PM Yip. It a Delta - Spyder I believe?
T-Frost 06-19-2009, 03:54 PM I don't believe it is..Or if it is it's not like the 2 Delta's that were produced..1 in 82 delta super phaser
http://photos.hobbytalk.com/data/510/Delta_phaser.jpg
and 1 in 87 delta spyder....

if there was another model what was it ? All i've found so far is them 2 ..Mine looks like the rear from the spyder (mine being a bit more advanced yet) and the front of the phaser..
nitro4294 06-19-2009, 08:47 PM It kind of resembles a Bolink but I don't know if they used that style front end.
My first guess was Delta also, defiantly looks like a Delta chassis and shock set up.
The front end looks like the old TRC style.
J-Dub Racing 06-19-2009, 11:11 PM Wasn't there a 10th scale car that looked like that called the Lynx?
rickk5 06-20-2009, 12:56 AM that sure looks like a 12th scale delta villian, i had one along with the 10th scale car as well!!!
nickcacc 06-20-2009, 01:01 AM Could be Composite Craft......I think they used the beam front end.
T-Frost 06-20-2009, 02:29 PM Well i keep searching the net and find nothing..The delta is the closest i've seen..Could it be a Delta with after market hop ups??Mine has no T plate..It's a 2 hinge system with bearings..And my rear pod has carbon or graphite sides with an aluminum plate on the motor side..Plus my rear pod is off set to the left for oval and Delta's were centered..
The car looks alot like an original Hyperdrive H10 Comp. But it is a later version Delta Spyder. This car looks just like my first 1/12th scale which was also a Delta.
rickk5 06-23-2009, 03:04 AM Well i keep searching the net and find nothing..The delta is the closest i've seen..Could it be a Delta with after market hop ups??Mine has no T plate..It's a 2 hinge system with bearings..And my rear pod has carbon or graphite sides with an aluminum plate on the motor side..Plus my rear pod is off set to the left for oval and Delta's were centered..its a delta they were the only one to use the bearing system and it was introduced on the villian series cars
SeanC42 06-30-2009, 04:07 PM It is a Delta Super Spyder released during the winter of '91. I was racing for them then and still have one in my closet. They were really cool but the rear pivot assembly wouldn't take hits very well.
Mike Clark 07-01-2009, 01:25 PM Yes the first car is a Delta. The dead giveaway the three shock mount. The front end was supplied by TRC along with the Pro Diff. I dropped my 12L for one and was never sorry at all. Back in the day it was the carpet car to race. I'll ramble through all of my old instruction manuals and see if I still have the paper work.
Well my old Delta manual shows the typical Delta front end and a T-plate back end with Al side plates and the three shock mount. The graphite chassis looks nothing like you have, mine's very old school. The only up grade available was the TRC Pro diff. The manual shows the 4 gear plantatary geared diff. Man I feel very old all of the sudden!
T-Frost 07-01-2009, 09:12 PM Sean seems to have it right..Finally found some info on it.Japanese site..Claims it's a super spyder and has the only pics i've ever seen of a car just like mine..Thanx all for the help..

zooqi 09-26-2009, 01:15 PM is it for sale?
tailrotorblade 03-14-2010, 12:37 AM I realize this thread is a bit "tired" but...does anyone know where I can get some documentation on the Delta Villain? Manual, parts list?
BullFrog 03-14-2010, 07:00 PM I can tell you for a fact that is a Delta 1/12th. That is the last 1/12th they made.I just sold my spare parts for the car on Ebay three months ago. They also made a 1/10th version that I had.The weak point of the car was the alu. part for the Tee-bar as it would bend. It was costly back the at $25.00 to replace. But the guy i sold it to had a new one in the package. My orginal directions were calling them and asking them were were the directions. They finally sent me something. That was back in 1991-92. After that I went over to Bolink till the end. But this car in the picture is a Delta super Spyder!

Dude, you really have one in your closet.....LOL:rolleyes:
katf1sh 03-18-2010, 11:43 PM when did they drop the planet diff?
wait a minute 03-23-2010, 10:34 PM Trc Pro 12
its like the trc but the trc only had the center shock not 2 shocks in the rear. i had one and i loved it.
that sure looks like a 12th scale delta villian, i had one along with the 10th scale car as well!!!
+1:thumbsup:
nick_2125 12-10-2011, 03:46 PM It is a Delta Super Spyder
BullFrog 12-13-2011, 08:06 AM That is a Delta- the last cars they made. I raced for them back in the day. It was made in a 1/12th and 1/1oth scale. The fragile part was the Alum part for the T bar. It would bend easily and it was 25.00 retail . I sold my last chassis to someone about a year ago. Yes it was the Super Spyder.
BullFrog 12-14-2011, 12:36 AM If you need some Delta shock (new in the bag) parts and used ones got plenty.
