I was wondering what the typical shelf life for fuel is?I have a three quarts of O'Donnell 20% on the shelf in my garage and recently picked up a dirt oval bomber I could use it in.I'm sure it is at least a year old...yet never been open.

I'm an electric guy who built a GT2 and sold it before I ever ran it.
Now I've recently traded for another nitro ride...I was wondering what I can do with this old fuel.

Thx in advance for the help guys.

The fuel should be fine. I've used fuel (that was opened) that I stored in my basement for the winter with no problems.

So Nitro fuel does not lose anything over time...sitting on the shelf.

I just want to be sure...this has probably been there longer than just last summer.

As long as its been sealed tight-no problems. The problems come once air mixes in, you should be fine.

Hey guys,
just shake up the bottle and it will be fine, as long as its out of the sunlight it will be ok..

I'm running fuel that's two years old that was stored in a cool dry place. Still running great.

Any idea on how cold (below freezing) temps affect nitro fuel? I plan to race indoors this winter, but that means my fuel will be exposed to cold temps while sitting in my car on my way to race or out in the garage between racedays.
