I understand that there have been some variances in the GASCAR rules that have been accepted at Easley on a weekly basis. (Probably because they don’t know the difference) So this is just a heads up to everyone running in the .15 class; as stated in the flyer and all other information that has been released concerning this race; GASCAR rules will govern this class. So, if your muffler or anything else on your car, does not comply with GASCAR, you might want to fix it.

Please pass this on.

I think Easley has been following the rules, the racers are wanting some mild changes on a weekly races. They all should no that we are running the gascar rules its on both flyers for the Outlaw and Mason Dixon Race.

There is no issue that I have heard of.

The talk was to change the rules in the future. I doubt it was even thought of to change the rules for the Outlaw race at this late date.

Thanks Mike, I'm glad that this has turned out to be a "non" issue. LOL

There's been no discussion about changing anything before the Outlaw 250. There's been no discussion about changing anything about GASCAR. Some of us had a informal discussion about how we might be able to grow the classs, both .15 and .09 at Easley, for the weekly show. It was said in the discussions that if there were any discussion about changing GASCAR rules, it would be between Tim and Donnie. I have 2 new different motors ordered to test for the .09s. We talked about what could "mild down" the .15s on that track. Everybody needs to just think about it, don't get upset and I'm sure we'll all talk next weekend.

Nobody is upset, Mitch.......... this is the way we make things better. Bringing ideas to the table and discussing them. This is what makes nitro oval and GASCAR so good, is the relationships we have and being able to talk things out to make it better for everyone. See you next week at the Outlaw.

Not right now..... The postings on the internet aren't as clear as talking to someone face to face. Ten of us can read these posts and have 5 different understandings. I try not to post anywhere unless I'm just having fun with someone, and that's not always taken that way. So, next week let's talk about ideas for Easley, how to grow the classes, how to manage the cost of running the classes, how to keep it fun. All of this with the hope it can still work with GASCAR rules. I have talked to a couple that are taking these threads much to personally, could easily be upset. See you all next weekend. We'll talk, may not make any decisions, but we can exchange ideas, we may want to go off and different people try different things at different tracks on different cars. Who knows, even a blind squirrel can find a nut sometimes!

On the .09 - Always looking for a motor that we can bolt in the car that we didn't need to change everything. Run a "out of the box" motor, muffler, head, exhaust, etc....

Who's goin to be the test dummy?

Well, we all know who the "dummy" is.........but aside from that............

Mitch, I did some work with the Drake .095 motor for a while. If the motor mount situation could be taken care of (would need a different adaptor) and a new clutch nut made (already talked to Barry's dad and it can be done REAL cheap) that would be a nice engine to fool with. It comes with it's own tuned exhaust so everyone would be on the same page too.

If you want to look at it, send me your mailing addy and I will ship it to you.

Oh yeah, it takes no carb adaptor and it comes with it's own cooling head.........all for less than what you had to pay for the Hornet plus all the "extras" that you need.

I'll get it all together this weekend. I forgot to mention that it has a nice two stage carb too. It idels just like a .12. It will just take some initial work.
