Here is the official TOUR LOGO:
http://snowbirdnationals.com/newthunder/TheTour.jpg
Hank is working on an avatar for the TOUR that should be up Wednesday morning. If you want, please use it, and show your support of R/C oval racing! Thanks to Dusty "2009 Bump'n'run 21.5 Snowbird Champion" Kemp for his help with the design work....

A nice shirt with a pic (or drawing) of a COT-bodied and an "older" "Nationwide" style body, along with a Truck, would be cool!

Put the cars/truck on the front, and the TOUR logo on the back, with the four big events listed, almost like a "NA$CAR Schedule" T-shirt. I might even pick one up! ;)

Kat.....I'm surprised you'd be interested in wearing a TOUR shirt based on your harsh post on Thunder Chat re: the battery situation.
Maybe Steve isn't aware that you're lovey-dovey on HT but quite the opposite on Thunder Chat in response to his and Allen's work(?)

As long as he's lovey dovey on my thread.........I'm cool with Katfish. He knows he can always call me with any real, postive, progressive, forward thinking, ideas to help shape oval racing. When he gets one........I'm sure he'll call. LOL

Just so you know, I did see the Thunder thread. I check in on it quite often. Just not enough hours in the day to see what everyone is saying behind your back. I figure, if its impoortant enough, people will tell me to my face, if they have any concerns or disagreements. Otherwise, I take it for what it's worth. Simply a measure of a person's integrity, that's all.

I hope people adopt our rules, but a certainly can't force the issue. I would like to comment that I disagree with ther premise that this is a TOUR debacle. Rather I believe this is a ROAR debacle that the TOUR addressed (correctly, I might add).

Either way, thanks for watching my back. But don't worry, Katfish gave me his word that he would do all he could to support the TOUR . He hasn't told me any different, so I'll take him at his word. A person's word should still be worth something these days, shouldn't it. Simply a measure of a person's integrity, that's all.

Thanks DK

See ya soon.

the 900000 rule changes and the lack of a 7.5 motor list and or a 1 cell lipo list is causing blisters on my arse! it does appear to be a 3 ring circus with rule changes coming daily...

rule # 1 should have been to never ever count on roar....we all know this...
rule # 2 maybe just maybe the 1st year for 7.5 should have been locked into one motor..and it should have been a motor that is made currently and has a part# available 6 weeks ago...

racers want now..not hurry up and wait...not the rule today is gone tommorow....

and yes i feel that the rug was pulled out from under me...(yup even my phat arse) and duped just a lil bit.....

maybe 4 or 5 guys are excited about 1 cell racing in florida...it's fewer every day with the rule changes and lack of part #'s to buy legal tour motors...we can buy them now and start racing 1 cell saturday....but we can't because there isn't anything legal at this time?

remember when associated announced the release of the tc3 direct drive TC car...it was in all the magazines and all over the net...they did this in let's say january 2001.....we waited and waited...we waited 9 months for that damn car to be released...it realy hurt there sales of the car....

the tour annouced rules and promises...even got me fired up to finally get some "oval" rules and support....but i'm losing interest fast and well racing 2 cell 17.5 is going strong in florida....i'm in no hurry now to run 1 cell and i realy do think by may 2010 tour will be better organized and a more complete picture will evolve and racers will come on board...but right now it looks like something i would put together..great intentions with poor forward thinking and implementation...

and yes dusty i'm well aware of who reads thunder chat and why they do so...but i did tell steve i'm on board...honestly when he called me i would have bought powdered water from him....now i'm gonna wait til it gets sorted out...for you see i was pushing 1 cell racing and the 7.5 class for a month...now i'm glad no one listened...we have nothing to run new 2 cell packs will be out..guys are going to have to choose to buy a new 2 cell that we know is legal or take a chance and wait.

i have said it before...if we get 28 17.5 2 cell racers in florida on a club day..well why ruin a good thing? steve has also stated that tour rules will not work at every track and were put in place for carpet racing...we run on carpet 3-4 times a year..it's not our bread and butter racing down here...we have much larger tracks and we have 20 plus racers who can wheel a 17.5 2 cell car between the pipes...we have alot of left over whip racers...look in a old car action at a whip race in 88 or 89 we have most of those guys racing with us each week! the rest of the country now has seasons and a real diverse field of racers and each state only having a few "pro" level racers so for them it's hard to travel 300 miles to run 17.5 2 cell with 2 other guys...so they must run what most run...we don't.....it took me awhile to figure out why "pro" level guys were running cot 17.5 1 cell....becaus they have to do that just to race... we don't! we may bicker fart and puff up on the net..but come race day we have a blast chasing boylan and pedano and billy bruce...we aren't the best...but we are having fun and going fast and we all get t o run whatever class we choose...because on club days we h ave 50 entries...it's awesome here in florida for oval racing! we race while others tell us about there season starting soon...and we have boylan and bean with live scoring at club races...most of these "big" races you have to wait 5 days for a result? yup i'm happy to race in florida!

btw dusty sorry if i stepped on your toes as it pertains to t-shirts...but i was told there wouldn't be any..so i thought zazzle was a good route to take ...i'm guessing now you will be doing something for tour and your post had 0 to do with a logo? but thats cool

Hey Kat the inital list of motors have been up on the rule page for I know for a couple of weeks. It has been tough to get some mfg to reply. I know this thing is kinda frustrating. We all have gotten to the instant info world. The bad thing is Steve and I are old school and have day jobs to boot. It is hard for us to be very instant. Hope this info helps.

 Rotors can be any commercially available standard or tuning rotor (stock or mod) specific to that manufacturer’s brand. (No hybrids.)

thanks allan.....i gave up reading each new rule book...i swear.....i'm sure most of the listed 7.5 motors will be outdated before november is here..novak will have a ballistic epic will have a duo 2 and pulse 2 and lrp will have a new motor by then as well i'm sure...are these locked in for the 09 10 season? or will thislist grow?

Katfish,

As I said when we spoke, if you like something we do in this effort called the TOUR, tell everybody!! If you DON'T like something, please do me the service of not spouting off.............just call me and I'll listen to your suggestions/concerns. You gave me your word that you'd do that.

Now I see this post and I'm torn between 3 words:

Liar
Coward
StupidA liar is someone that gives their word and goes back on it. A coward is someone that hides behind their keyboard, goes behind someone's back and bashes their efforts, or posts crap that serves nothing but their own ego. Stupid cover virtual everything in your prior post (i.e Claiming to the world that there is no 7.5 motor list, when it's right in front of you.)

You've done nothing to help, just caused problems. Allan and I have no intention here other than to try to make the sport better and provide a common platform across the broadest segment of the area that we can cover. It's alot more difficult than you may think, having run successful organizations yourself in the past.

One thing I've learned over the last 6 months, unfortunately, is the lack of respect you have for others is only exceeded by the lack of respect the R/C community has for you. You are the voice of no one but yourself. Your insulting, inflamatory comments do nothing other than make more work for me. Not one call. Not one suggestion. Not one offer to help. But I have to sit here at 1:00am and defend my position and address all of the BS you posted so that the correct message gets out.

And that the only reason I'll take the time to address your comments....so that others who read it don't get mislead by your BS.

If stirring the pot is fun for you, enjoy it. I have gone out of my way to defend you to those who have made comments to me about you. I spoke with you, I trusted that you were much diferent than you appear on the web. Ya got me. I guess you're a better saleman than me. I fell for it!!

I'm always willing to chat if you want actually answers to your questions. I told you from the start, you can have 100% access to me and my time, if you'll back me on this, not bash me, and get the story straight from me. Right now, you are truely an embarrassment to our efforts and I am ashamed of my own judgement.

Steve

Actually, the provocation for why I would address that under the TOUR logo thread is because I honestly believed YOU were the reason that they(the TOUR) should consider having a shirt done, and it is under this thread that you first requested that. I throw my services on no one, but will help out any RC organization if I'm able. Allan called me shortly after your post initially(about shirts) and we did speak about the idea, but he felt it best to handle more demanding issues at the time.
I don't personally take issue with you, but growing up as the son of a promoter, I'm easily put off by individuals who pledge allegiance to one group and speak differently to another group. The Florida scene has always been it's own animal as you well know. Boylan and Bean try as best they can to keep stability, but when the Florida racer reads online and feels the bus is about to go a different direction(again) they get worried that they should either :
a)jump on and not be left in Chameleon 19t land again
b)watch it go by and be stuck in Chameleon 19t land again and be lost to the rest of the nation.
I've honestly spoken with Allan and Steve less in my lifetime than you, so I have no reason to berate you on their behalf. I was merely defending the efforts of 2 guys willing to hang it out and was disappointed to read your thoughts in contrary to your previous postings here.
I still dig the Florida crew and that won't change, because in a twisted way I believe that you want what is best for oval as do all involved. Sometimes the answers are harder to get and take longer to find and patience and trust are needed.
dk

btw dusty sorry if i stepped on your toes as it pertains to t-shirts...but i was told there wouldn't be any..so i thought zazzle was a good route to take ...i'm guessing now you will be doing something for tour and your post had 0 to do with a logo? but thats cool

dusty if you read my post you would have read that i was concerned that roar had gone back on there word and will now approve lipos as they damn well please...this is bad for the florida racers...i wanted to see where bean and boylan were going with the lipo rules and what packs would be legal for 2 cell racing....nothing i said on either thread or message board is a lie..it is just my impressions...so far.....i still have 3 million questions now that 7.5 is opened up to any motor and any rotor...looks more like limited mod and alot of choices for the racer with the possibility of a different motor/rotor combo for different tracks...

is the public allowed to ask questions? and can they ask in public?

it's funny no one want tour to get up and walk more than i do......yet at the same time i get frustrated with every step backwards...i get that way because i'm the monday morning Qb it's easy to see some mistakes...at the same time roar put a real whammy on all of us with the new lipo rule...that had to drive you guys crazy...things you take for granted have not gone as planned....for me the racer i'm all about now

did you think i want a tour shirt so i can change my oil with it? c'mon i'm not at all involved with tour...but i think it's a great idea

dusty you could have called me and asked me why i post what and where..but you decided to probe me on here...if i had a issue with steve i would have talked to him...

my last tour post if our local promoters tell me tommorow we are going tour rules only i will race..if we don't i will race
