well not to much broken equiptment tonight. except for david, I think he broke all his twice. My pinching my motor for the first time worked out well. I think I could have pinched it some more. But it runs good.

It has been discussed To have a big run on the 4th of july weekend. I would like everyones input on this idea. I'm thinking on the 4th, but i understand spending the day with familys. So any ideas will be apreciated. I'm going to get ahold of wade and see what we have to do for permits and stuff.

I'm going to be gone for a couple weeks, but will be back like on the 2nd or somthing. have great runs at the track and hope my car will be rebuilt by the time i get back.

as we know the water has no pressure at the track right now. David did a great job wetting the track down. It held up great. Thanks david

county should have cheaked out water pressure today. hopefully will have that problem solved before next run. like the idea of running one evening. not sure about 4th. i can bring a grill if needed. appreciate everyones help on keeping the track in great shape.

I got a call this afternoon about my friends that was going to come down for the 4th weekend. They will not be attending that weekend. His wife just had her vacation revoked where she works.

water pressure is back. track is in good shape. need to set a date for the late night bash. right now saturday july 25 looks best for me. does anyone else have plans that weekend?

I'm not sure if I will be in town the 28th. I will check on that when i get back. I'm supose to be back the 29th or 30th. so i plan on spending alot of time at the track the weekend of the 4th.

your more than welcome. I will not be there but I'm sure some of the other guys will. We been showing up around 4 pm due to the heat. I am out of town working till the weekend of the 4th of july. So I will not be there this weekend or next. Enjoy the track, And always remember not to leave any trash laying around. It is a privlage to have this track in the park, and don't want to lose our track cuz of a mess. It is not maintainded by the county we all pitch in to take care of it. have a great run and thanks for joining

how was the track today?

was late sunday afternoon before we arrived must have been around 6pm. soaked the track once and had to wet it down again around 7. there have been a few people stopping by and running. everyone likes the track and think its fun to play on. i must admit the track is good dry but great after wetting it down. so dont hesitate to streach out the hose and water it down.

that is great to hear. I hope we can keep it in good shape. when I'm done with this project in mid july, My car will be almost all new, and I will be ready to run hard. Glad everyone enjoyed. If yall remember to pass on this forum i would realy apreciate it.

any big plans for a run this weekend? I should be home monday. So starting the following friday I will be at the track every night till I head back out of town. And David I'm going to be putting in an order next friday, so if you have a list get it to me in the next week and I will add it to mine.

Took the RC8e out this morning to let it stretch its legs on a watered down track for the first time and had a blast. Is anyone looking to run on july 5th, sunday, in the afternoon?

Hi guys, this is Michael who has been coming down for a couple of months. I have the 8ight 2.0 with the flames on it and drive the red Avalanche. David told me about this forum today. :thumbsup: Had a great time today and wish I could have stayed later but I had to get back to Dickson. If you all do have a thing for the 4th maybe I can come by. If we need a small generator for some reason (lights, etc.) I got one today. BTW, David, it started right up and purred after I put more oil in it. :rolleyes:

I'm glad to see all the new mebers joining us on the forums. I plan on running sunday the 5th. We tryed to set somthing up for the 4th, but with vacations and familys. It didn't look like we was going to have much of a crowd. David had sudgested looking at the 25th for a night run. How ever I'm not sure I will be in town for that weekend. I'm trying to work something out. We are open for any ideas at this point in time.

Keep the track in shape. I will be home in a few days ready to run. been stuck in this hotel for almost 2 weeks. work is going to have a hard time keeping me from the track. Hope to throw some dirt with everyone soon.

did the pinch trick i recomended work on the 427

yes it did so far. But I also picked up a new mtr for a spare. I ended up using a heavy duty hose clamp. And now I have figured out who speedracer is. I hope you make it down to the track on the 5th. I will even put my new mtr in so I can atleast keep up with ya.

I was surfing utube & i found info about this fourm.Being the joker i am i tried to pull one on everbody.I thought i would get a toatly differnt reply,just goes to show what a great bunch of friends we have.Going to try and make it to the track sunday the 5th.No more than i have run lately you could probably stay ahead of me with 10% nitro.Hope to see y'all soon!

well before i went to the track my car was 8.1 lbs. after getting home it is 10.8. was fun though. glad to see everyone out there.

I ran through several storms on the way home. In between it was sunny. I weighed my car and it was 11.3 lbs. Haven't weighed it clean but I'm sure it's not close to that. :) Had fun today even if it was nasty and wet.

Hey guys, I just had an idea. Would you all like to start a Yahoo group for the track? We have one for the plane/helicopter club I am in. You can send an email to one address and it will send it out to all members of the group if they select to receive them or they can go to the website to read them. You can also put pictures up, have polls, etc. Just an idea, not sure if everyone wanted to do that or not.

I could try and set one up if everyone wants to try it out. If we didn't like it we could get rid of it.

I went ahead and set up a group just to see how hard it was. I have never set one up but I have been in a couple. Only took a couple of minutes. If you guys want to try it out we can. I don't want to get rid of this thread but maybe it will keep it from ending up 50 pages of "who's going out today?"
If we do go with this do you guys want to have it an open group where anyone can join or where a moderator has to send an invite to people who want to join? The invites have kept the other groups I have been in free of spam.
Just an idea to make it easier to keep up with when everyone is going out or general chat about the track, etc.

I just got done cleaning my car and it is 8 lbs. even. That is about a 40% increase in weight. No wonder my car felt a little slow. :)

I might be able to go out Friday afternoon if I don't have to work late. I also might be able to go on Sat or Sun but not sure yet.

a few of us was out tonight. the three of us will also be out tomorow night. The track was in great shape. we didn't wet it down tonight cuz there was a few spots that are still moist, so we didn't want to over wet them. it will be ready for water tomorow. I should be out about 6 or so. hope to see some people running.

the track is in great shape tonight. It is gonna be like a gost town tomorow though. I will not be there tomorow night. I'm rebuilding my car, so sat i will be out for a little bit just to shake it down. sunday I will be there at 4 pm. gonna wet the track down and sweep it. I plan on running alot of laps. hope to have a few people there that are not going on vacation. david and jr will both have an unexcused absence for the next couple days. family vacation is not a good excuse. lol just kidding have fun you two.
