Wow Holidays! i was starting to wonder if this day would ever show up.. I am going to post my route if you can suggest Hobbyshops, flea markets, or local coffee shops were i can say hello to a couple of you that would be awesome...

Monday June 15th.. Memphis.. will be there overnight gone next morning...
june 16th Point Pleasant WV will arrive around supper time and stay til Thursday morning..
17th PP WV All Day
18th Arrive Washington D.C. this is the dicey part gonna be hard to stay out of jail lol.. there till NOON Saturday...
Saturday Evening Arrive Harrisburg PA
Sunday Travel to Arnprior Ontario.. I grew up up here so now worries tons to do already...

Friday 26th June.. Oregon Wi
Saturday 27th Travel to St. Louis.
Sunday Leave St. Louis

If you are on my route I would really enjoy having a quick Coffee or meeting you even if its just a hi Coach Sign on the side of the road.. lol.. Bob, CJ will be in Gretna sometime Sunday...

I will bring my Cell if your on my route and want the number PM me and I will give it too you...

Saturday night.......Wlliam's Grove: The best weekly sprint car show on the face of the earth.

Not much in Memphis. There is a hobby shop at 40 and 240 that runs 1/32 cars but nothing special. If you'd like to tour COMP cams PM me. We are just off 240 near the airport.

Just off Lamar (Highway 78) on Democrat.

I used to pull loads out of RR Donnelly and Quebecor all the time.. And if I was in Memphis I pretty much lived at that lil bar on old 61 at the state line.. LOL

Memphis, the Peabody hotel - historic and very cool. Ducks ride the elevator from the roof to the lobby, walk the red carpet to the fountain every morning, return trip every evening, in grand style. There is a cool scale model of the Mississippi River basin you can walk in along the river, north of Beale St. Don't forget barbeque, dry or wet.... How much time you gonna have there exactly?

D.C. - too many options to list..... Air and Space museum or any other Smithsonian exhibit, all the monuments, the national zoo is free as well, great place for lunch. All you pay for is parking, if you can find it LOL. Stopped at Mt Vernon just south of DC last time, Monticello in Charlottesville a few years ago on the way back, took the skyline drive.... You could spend weeks.

Printing their own money??? Jeez!! There was another printing outfit there in Memphis that made junk mail, but the name eludes me.. Got a ton of freight out of there, with some good west runs.. Tucson, Phoenix, Frisco, Houston.. All over the place.. Our trucking company was based out of Stantonville, TN. If it weren't for my kid, I'd prolly be doing it still.. :rolleyes:

I was referring to the bar not Quebecor. The bar was better known as the North Mississippi Center for the Performing Arts and they were caught giving customers extra "favors" if the money was right.

How far is Point Pleasant from Oak Hill, WV? Perhaps you should hit up Gary Butner.

The place I was referring to was a "Cabaret". I used to run around that area in high school back in the early 70's. It has changed quite a bit the last 10 years due to the casinos.

If you're going through Syracuse, consider giving Bob at SlotCarCentral (TubTrack) a call. Last time I talked to him at a show he mentioned if I ever get to Syracuse again to give him him a call. He doesn't have a storefront per se, but warehouses full of all manner of slot car goodies.
