Hi Guys!

I know this has been gone over about a million times on the board now but I never paid attention in the past.

I just broke into the digital/electronic age with a digital camera and would like to start posting pics on the slot car boards.

Now go easy with me here!!! LOL!!!

I'm not very computer sauvy!!! LOL!!!

Once I take a pic of what I want to post and download it from my camera into a folder on my computer how do I post that picture in a post on hobbytalk?

I feel ignorant in asking these questions but I'm kinda clueless when it comes to electronics/computers and the like......:rolleyes:

I'm just starting out learning about these electronical do dads! :p

I'm oldskool trying to learn new skool if ya get my drift!!!!!

Any help to help get me guided in getting my pictures posted on HT would be appreciated! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I would take a cool old primered model A coupe over a zip zap rice burner any day and thats kinda how I feel about electronic gadgets, I can draw ya a picture but I am all thumbs and behind the times in regards to all the electronic gizmos in the world nowadays!!!

Edit/crop pictures
Open an account at photobucket.com
Upload pictures to photobucket
Drop down under uploaded pictures will open when you mouse on picture, chose bottom one, click to turn blue, right click and copy, go to HT post box right click and paste link in post box
It helps if you have a tab open here and a tab open at photobucket.

Once you download your pics from your camera to computer.
Use photo software like Microsoft Office Picture Manager which might already be on your computer, to crop and reduce the pics to 3 x 4, 640 x 480 pixels.
That is the right size to post on a forum board.

Then after you upload the pics to an image host.
Post the image url between (img) http;//xxx.com.jpg (/img) In boxes [ ]

There are a few free image hosts to chose from.
I use TinyPic because there is no registration needed.

TinyPic (http://tinypic.com/) - No registration needed

Photobucket (http://www.photobucket.com/) - Remember to set your album to private!

ImageShack (http://imageshack.us/) - Don't upload anything too personal, ImageShack don't delete anything unless you request it specifically. If you register you get more control but their servers are slow sometimes.

XS.to (http://xs.to/) - They will ban you if you upload a screenshot of any map at all. I don't know why.

These are adult friendly image hosts.

ImageBam (http://www.imagebam.com/) - Don't upload photos of anyone under the age of 18 here.
