Question: Through what inputs can a Wii hook up to an HD monitor? Magesblood 06-09-2009, 01:01 AM The RCA or component (the red, white and yellow) I can never keep them straight will work. Also, HDMI will work but why spend that kind of cash for something that's not in HD? I have one. Well both of which you speak. Only think you need to do is change the input on the TV to the appropriate device when using the Wii. The wiimotes take a little getting used to. Once you do, they're really fun! I actually break a sweat playing some of those games! Oh, there's a long foot or so long thing bar that's the wiimote receiver that needs to be on top of or below your set. In the Wii menu, you'll be able to tell the device where the receiver is for better functionality of the wiimotes. Enjoy it and do let her have a turn once in a while! :hat: iamweasel 06-09-2009, 05:41 AM Took me forever to get used to aiming the remote at the receiver unit. My son got so frustrated repeating "Dad you have to aim at THAT thing" while I looked like Jim Carrey waving that thing around. Magesblood 06-09-2009, 08:37 AM well, some games you don't have to aim it at the receiver like the old platformers. Donkey Kong and Super Mario Brothers come to mind. You hold the controllers in your hand the way you would a normal paddle from the old NES. The system will still get the signal. JeffG 06-09-2009, 06:06 PM Keep in mind that Wii games are not in true 1080 HD like the XBox 360 or the Paystation 3, but they still will look good. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
