Hadn't heard anybody mention this one, I watched it on DVD last night and was pleasantly surprised and impressed. Best smart "road" picture I've seen in years, it reminded me a lot of The Last Detail. Tim Robbins, Michael Pena, and Rachel McAdams give great performances as three wounded Army vets who meet on a plane returning from Iraq and end up traveling across the country together. The script is smart and amiable, and avoids most of the cliches in military movies. Good stuff, bonus points for being the first movie about folks serving in Iraq without being a total downer, in fact it's one of the most optimistic films I've seen in awhile.
