This is the Just An Illusion lighting kit--this isn't to show off my amazing craftsmanship (or lack of it--other than the interior all of the parts shown are unpainted and not yet glued into place) but just for anyone curious about what this lighting kit does. The reactor core effect is really nice especially for something coming out of a single LED. The headlights are just hanging there so they will be much brighter when they're actually fixed in place.

Wow -- I had not seen the reactor core effect. That's actually very nice. Gil does nice work, tho. Post more when you have some further progress!

Amazing! I would have to hire someone to do one for me.

Actually... the way Gil (Just An Illusion) ships his lighting kits... they are essentially plug and play! I don't believe any soldering or electronics knowlege is required. And he uses some different kind of lightsheet that lasts a very very long time... it doesn't fade out in a few hundred hours like the Miller Engineering stuff.

I did solder the connections on mine together simply because there's a lot of tugging and pulling around in there mainly to get wires to go under the interior and out to all the places they need to go and I hate it when one stupid wire gets pulled out and turns everything off. But it is plug and play and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm getting close on the Seaview too, just waiting hopefully another week or so for the 2Fatguys extension plug so I can start going down the finish line for that.
