Hello,
We decided to take a ride to trains/lanes on friday night,we haven't been to their track for almost 1 yr.
Their large banked track was so nice and fast, but now their is braid up on almost all of their lanes, the braid needs to be cleaned, there is a power problem, the lack of there of.Also side walls are destroyed in some areas.
And their hr/ rate is $10.00 OUCH:drunk:
Can somebody tell me what happened to their track? Don't they run weekly races on their tracks?
We use to look forward to going to their tracks and going fast but???:(
It makes me sick in the stomach when I see a track in our area going downhill!

I went there a few years ago with some friends. We came from N.Y. so it wasn't local.I would guess it's not getting local support so why waste time and money. It could also be the opposite no maintaining ,no racers.

Trains and Lanes bread and butter is trains and RC cars, slot stuff is the red headed step child.
I know, I'm there just about every week. I don't know if they have a club following or not, but I know I never raced there. Seems like its a father/son every now and then kinda track.
A few of the guys working there are top knotch dudes, keeps me going back all the time.

That's a sad story. I have no where to go around here. When I was a kid, I used to take the bus to a place called Motorama. The place and the tracks probably weren't as big as I remember them (40+ years ago) but it remains an awesome memory for me. I remember I had a light blue Ford Galaxie with no hood. I think it was a model I grafted on to a slot chassis. I laugh thinking about it.
