Thanks all-
This style racing is very vesatile and many types of chassis' can be used from off road trucks and buggies to purpose built dirt oval cars, B44's and possibly even the Slash type trucks or 1/10th Sliders. It's pictured on a buggy.

The front bumper is not the real issue....the Slash trucks have a much longer wheelbase than most 1/10th off road vehicles. They really are 1/8th scale by most standards.

OK, cool...now I know we have the first-generation body style (the '67-'69), and several companies made the third generation body ('82-'92). Gary here has now made the second half of the second-generation body ('74-'81). BoLink had a fourth-gen style. Now all I need is the first half of the second generation style ('70 1/2 through '73, complete with split bumper ;-)). I know Pegasus makes that '70-'73 style for the US Vintage Trans Am touring cars, but their bodies don't hold up well at all through crashes (very thin Lexan - .020 I believe). If *someone* (cough, cough...LOLOLOL) would make a QUALITY short track style '70-'73....
