advance your timing in your stock motor, if you know how to do it makes it alittle quicker then stock.

I will do that. Now if i remember right you turn that clockwise to advance the timing right.

before taking apart your motor you should check with the track you are going to run at
Almost all tracks that mod would be illegal some do allow it
Just wouldn't want you to take a motor and not be able to use it If you are racing than go for it
If you are just bashing or the track doesn't care what motor you run you can get mild mod motors for under $40 and that will increase your speed but will also drain your pack a lot sooner

It does sound like your racing at a track If so post up some more info on where you run and what type of surface and we can help you out more from there

I am trying to get a track started where i live so i don't have to drive an hour and 20mins one way and they really don't race no points or standings but thank you on the info on the motor i did not know that thank you very much.

Here is a video of the slash class at the track. Tell me what you think i should run please and tips or secrets would be very helpful. I have one if you own a slash and you know how the wheels are always rubbing under the body if you put clear packing tape there it wont rub your paint off.

Move your rear body mount up one hole and it will eliminate the rear rub. Also enlarge the wheel wells so you don't rub there.

A legal way of getting more speed out of the Titan 12 is water-dip break-in. Use one or two D-cell batteries (1.5 to 3 volts) applied to the motor and put the motor in a glass of water that covers the motor.

I've heard of doing this for years but only tied it on my last Titan. It made a noticable difference.

Also try 50wt oil in front shocks and 40 or 45wt in the rear.

It looks like you have a great track to race at.

Well thank you bob t i really appreciate the tip i will do that. It really makes a difference if you do this huh. I think i will give it a try and thanks about the body tips i just noticed that it does rub just a little. The schock weight sounds good how is that working for you. Well thanks again:wave:

2 degrees negative camber in the front and rear. This will reduce the tires rolling in the corners and riding on the side walls. If you have a high bite track, I would go with lighter oil in the shocks. Your body will roll in the turns as oppoed to flipping. It will also transfer weight to the outside tires getting all the bite. But truthfully, everyones set up suggestions most likely will not work for others as vehicles are set up and work based on individual driving styles. You need to figure out where you are slowest on the track and work from there first. Make one change at a time. Evaluate it and change again or move on to the next set up. If you can get to the track to practice, do it then. If not, you'll have to sacrafice some heats and mains making changes to get it right. Once right, then you'll be a force on the track. But most importantly practice! Next time at the track watch another class race, or another Slash heat if you have more than one. Whenever a vehicle flips, gets stuck, noses into the wall, and needs a Marshall to get it going again, count how many seconds it takes to get going again. Multiply that a few times and you may lose half a lap/full/maybe more just in waiting time. Practice and prevent that down time from happening.

We are allowed RPM shock towers, change the shock oil We run 40 front 30 rear, if you are allowed, RPM dual stage shock pistons, light to med. pack. Use the light dampening. I run 1 1/2 neg, camber in front and -1 in the rear. Rear hub in the upper hole, bottom hole in the rear shock tower. We pre prep our tires with TrackSide Fire, pm for info. We run stock gears. Drill the tranny, where the pins go to free up the suspention, do the front, where the arm pins go, this will free up the front for more roll, that will help it turn harder. Rear shock positon is second from chasis, front is inside. PM for more. Don't wan't people at my track to know everthing. Hope it help you.If I can help lmk, good racn:wave:

No problem. Good luck. Remember practice practice practice. The more you have the "rubber on the road", the better lap times you will have. Quicker lap times is what wins races. The fastest truck doesnt necessarily have the quickest lap times. Keep that in mind when you race. Sometimes slow is fast.
