cool web site, just found it... I have a B&S 25 hp that back fires thru the carburetor while trying to start. Has that deep throaty sound and takes forever to start. Once running it's OK and starts easy once engine is warm. Thinking the carb needs a good cleaning. Any ideas or know of any additives that will clean it out without me taking the carb off???
Thanks

As much as I would like to tell you yeah use this stuff to magically take care of your carburetor, the answer is NO. There is nothing you can add to the fuel that will repair a dirty carburetor. Sometimes you can get lucky with a little seafoam added to the fuel, this may clear up a rough idle or a hesitation, but won't take the place of a "good cleaning".
Your issue may just be the spark plugs, it may be time to replace them with new ones and make sure they are properly gapped.

30yeartech,
thanks for the response. It does have new plugs. I thought that was the problem and replaced them but still the same. I'm thinking the carb has to come off. Now my mower deck won't come on. Checked everything to include juice down to the electric clutch and it all seems good. I'm going to try and by pass the PTO switch with some juice and see if maybe there is a grounding problem. Mean time the grass is winning!!!
Thanks
