I was hoping some one here would have more and share some info on the cars that just sold on ebay item #130308682531 , I'm not allowed to post links here yet.

There was a little chatter on RLOL, but not much. I tried sharing my limited knowledge on the cars over at jltalk, always hoping someone would chime in.

Was the Bazooka a proto type or was it like the HW Cheetah, changed names early in production.

Does anybody have info on the brown dragster gift set, maybe a pic.

Thanks
Jim

Except for the dragster, the Wild Winner cars are all 1971 castings. I believe they were going to make a Bazooka prior to the Wild Winner car release where they then called it Pipe Dream. Sort of like this 1970 catalog shot where they show a car called the "Golden Hauler" which was later released as the "Hairy Hauler" wild winner car. Impressive price for those 5 cars.

I was trying to pin down if a bazooka was something

that might be found in a blister marked Pipe Dream or

was this strictly a proto type, with only a few available.

as with most things near the end of the topper dynasty, it was a bit chaotic and some things slipped through such as a small batch of bazooka cars before the renaming for the official 1971 release as pipe dream....another example would be the "hammer head" version of the hairy hauler....

Thanks for the input POCKETWATCH.......

I read your post on the Hammer head Hairy Hauler
over at jltalk, always like learning something new.
Hammer head (http://jltalk.com/index.php?showtopic=2611)

Kind of new at collecting Toppers, so it's always nice
when someone with a little more experience and a bigger
collection share what they've learned.

Thanks again to both you and jlightning
