How are you guys reducing the voltage from a Lipo battery to the receiver and servos.

I'm using a Novak BEC. I know you can do it with a pair of diodes as well, but don't recall the exact specs on that. I'm sure bob will speak up to that one if he sees this thread.

I'm using a Novak GTB so if I'm correct I don't think I have to use anything but just want to be sure so I don't burn out my receiver and servo.

Correct, As long as you stay within the voltage rating for the ESC you will be fine. The GTB has its own BEC and will run the rx and servo properly. No difference than running 6 or 7 cell Nicad batteries!
