View Full Version : Kyosho Dydo 330 P4 Spyder pics
Here are the pics of the Kyosho Dydo Ferrari 330 P4 Spyder. This is the assemled car that was recently sold on E_Bay with the case. I dissambled the car and then put it back together.
Dissambled, here are the parts. Note that unlike P4 coupe from Release 4, the car is assembled with only 1 screw and has a tab feature for the other end.

Close-ups of body, interior, and the wheel. The wheel has significantly less detial than the coupes from Release 4.

Does wheels from the series 4 fit the Dydo?
Too bad the case had a crack, but did they contain those tiny labels for the other dydo cars?

Here are some comparisons between these 2 cars,
- Obvious body style differences in the castings
- Release 4 has significantly more detailed and higher quality wheels and tires
- Release 4 has somewhat sharper casting detail
- Dydo Spider is assembled with only 1 screw in the front. The rear is held by a tab in the chassis fitting into the body casting. Fits together very nicely!
- Paint on Dydo is very good. A little thinner than the Release 4, but nice coverage and no defects
- The Dydo seems little shorter then the Release 4 - not by much, perhaps by a few millimeters. Perhaps in the future I'll measure the dimensions to confirm.
Enjoy!

You know, I didn't check whether the Release 4 wheels would fit. Dydo axles seemed a little flimsier than the later Kyosho releases, and Release 4 P4 Coupe rear tire seems to be a little larger than the Dydo Spyder. Will be interesting to check; if I ever come across a cheap Release P4 (which seems unlikely seeing the E_Bay prices), a wheel swap might be in order.
Yup, the labels were included.
troopeur 05-30-2009, 11:52 PM I think that possible to do something with the serie 4 version.
Take of the rear window , the motor cover is include , paint it in red and add parts to do like spyder version ( part to find)
after the top most difficult part , i don't know if I'll take the risk to broke a Coupe P4 330 . but I like this challenge
troopeur 05-31-2009, 12:05 AM I forgot thank , you give me lot of information
69Stang 05-31-2009, 12:02 PM I enjoied the photos and info very much.

Looks like someone did just that - check out the picture CarC just posted in the Custom 1/64 thread.

Also, it might be possible - and cheaper - to practice on the Hot Wheels P4 first.
troopeur 05-31-2009, 10:54 PM Yes, good idea ;)
Kotetsu 06-24-2009, 05:37 PM Another 330P4 Spyder sighted on eBay, this time an assembled one... and if I remember correctly it's from the same seller who sold the last one. I wonder how many more he has?? Should be another interesting auction to monitor now that G_G and troopeur are on the sidelines (I think).
troopeur 06-25-2009, 12:43 AM Yeah it is the 3 this seller sell on ebay.
I waiting mine I'll certainly receive it this week... I hope

I too am on the sidelines for this one. Will make it interesting to see what this will sell for. So far still really reasonable, with 26 hours to go.
That makes at least 4 Spyders sold in the last 2 months. Makes me wonder:
1. How many of these were actually made?
2. All thse recent slaes - are they random, or a sign that insiders know something (e.g., Kyosho is planning to rerelease the Spyder in a future release"?
Kotetsu 06-25-2009, 07:33 PM Hi G_G,
Those are excellent questions and I'd love to know the answers as well. Kyosho's quantity of cars made per release/cast have always been a mystery. I'm sure people will still pay high amounts for this car since it is still extremely rare as compared to all other Kyosho cars. And as for the 3rd car from the same seller... my take is that it might be a consignment or how would he have that many?
Any thoughts?
Josh
I wonder how many P4 spiders are around myself. I guess this seller, like most of the Japanese Ebay sellers source their Kyoshos from the Japanese auction site. I can't even see one being auctioned off in Yahoo auctions.
troopeur 06-26-2009, 02:39 PM auction ended at 99$ , someone here...
Me again - bidding for a friend. He asked me to put in $101 maximum.
alex1485 06-26-2009, 11:59 PM very close to that maximum!
troopeur 06-27-2009, 01:25 AM Nice car it is a beautifull model , I received mine today.
I don't want open it , I think I'll do my project with the P4 330 from collection IV
Kotetsu 06-27-2009, 03:25 AM Congratulations to all you guys who has that rare car. I'm sure one day I'll have my chance too. In the mean time I'll just enjoy the pictures that you guys post here. Can't wait to see how troopeur's project will turn out.
very close to that maximum!
I gotta say, this is one of the most useless responses I've ever seen. Yes, 99 is very close to 101. What exactly was the point of this response?
alex1485 06-28-2009, 10:56 PM to see if people like you would respond ;) also, more accurately, its more of a "OH MY GOD YOU ALMOST LOST" comment.
Fast Eddie 07-02-2009, 12:21 PM That one is almost a holy grail, nice comparisons, my release 4 makes me quite happy.

1. What exactly do you mean by "people like me"?
2. I responded. Now what?
alex1485 07-03-2009, 10:39 PM what do you mean now what... i told you its more of a "OH MY GOD YOU ALMOST LOST" in different words... theres NO more now whats. you know like... GASP!
