View Full Version : Kyosho scale comparison pics - 2 cool machines: Lotus 7 vs Lamborghini LM002
I just love Kyosho's attention to correct scale. Here are some nice comparison shots of two ultimately impractical - but oh ever so cool - machines - Lotus 7 and Lamborghini LM002. They just happen to be one of the smallest and one of the largest of Kyosho's 1:64 releases.

dipstick 05-31-2009, 10:32 AM Very interesting, realistic and true scale!!
kneedeep56 05-31-2009, 11:16 AM Thanks for the lesson and the pics.
I love the way Kyosho tries to make their 1/64 scales correct.
I love this car, might even be my fav in the collection but it seems kinda big to me. Am I the one that is off or is it a little big?...

69Stang 05-31-2009, 11:58 AM Loce the pics G, and Denis, I think that is about right for the size. The real car is FAR larger then you think due to the added panels. The stock height was lowered, but every other deminsion was enlarged. So I think this is just about correct.
Superbird77 05-31-2009, 02:15 PM Nice comparison! I tried something similar between my largest and smallest Kyosho - Lambo LM002 and Lotus Europa. It would be cool to include BMW Isetta in the mix. Is it the smallest car in Kyosho minicar series?

I believe Isetta is the smallest of Kyoshos.
I took a photo of some of my small Kyoshos together with an LM002.

I'd guess Isetta is the shortest, Lotus 7 is the lowest. Don't have an Isetta in my collection, so hard to say.

Cool! I wonder if the Isetta would actually fit into the back of the LM002 - perhaps vertically...
Will try to do that in a few minutes but I just remembered that the LM002 is not the biggest 1/64 scale released, it's not an SUV though.

Hmm, I'm stumped. What's the biggest (other the Ferrari F1 trailer)?

That's right! The trailer was part of the the dydo/Kyosho release :)
The Isetta won't fit.

Thanks - great photo!
Isetta "sort of" fits :)
Kotetsu 05-31-2009, 11:47 PM I'd love to buy one of that Ferrari transporter. If you don't mind me asking, what's the going price for that truck on eBay?

Hey Josh, I have no idea, I haven't seen this truck in Ebay or Japan in a very long time.
Superbird77 06-01-2009, 04:11 AM It's great to see LM002 with the isetta in the back. :p
troopeur 06-01-2009, 08:56 AM I say truck 2 or 3 time on e-bay for 49.99$
Kotetsu 06-01-2009, 02:44 PM Hi CarC and troopeur,
Thanks for the info. Sounds like the Ferrari truck is quite rare, though not highly sought after as compared to the 330P4 Spyder. 50 dollars is not a bad price. I'll keep my eyes open to see if one comes up on eBay.
Thanks,
Josh
