I have found that the paints, glues and thinners that i use while building cars can produce irritating fumes. For those, i have an Ionic air cleaner. It works great for keeping those fumes from entering the central air system in my house. But for me, the thing that seems to irritate my senses the most is the dust that kicks up while modding resin bodies with a Dremel tool. Since modding the body can require the removal of up to 25% of the resin materials, i use a homemade paint booth. The booth is powered by an industrial strength Hoover vacuum cleaner so, along with a painters mask, the air stays pretty clean. However, sometimes you will have a small Dremel job (ie:spoiler, etc.) that does not require the power and noise of the industrial Hoover. In those cases, it's nice to pull out this small battery powered vacuum unit. Although i still use a painters mask, the smokeless Ashtray will capture most of the fine resin dust from reaching your eyes and nose. Give it a try. It can also save your freshly painted body from collecting that leftover dust from your work table.

Agreed!
1yr ago this weekend for us. Go gottem Nuther!
I use the cromagnon shop vac method in the big shop on the rare occassion that I have to grind resin ....noisey and obnoxious...apply headphones and tunes. Might have to go smokeless on the hobby room bench for the little nibbly projects.
