ok....so it's been a few months since I made any progress on this thing. I got back on the horse again last week and made some headway. I thought I would start a new thread and keep this one alive until I finish.

This go-round I took his arm and cut it in half at the elbow and rotated it 90 degrees so his palm faces upward. Then I sliced the finger up and bent it in place so it looks like he is playing a chord.

I had an issue with the stock shoes. I thought I would Frankenboot it up a little and add soles. Once they were in place I was like, "hey.....Doc Martens!" So I gave them some style and some laces. I also had to poke a big ugly toe out of a hole. It still looks kinda funky at this stage but it is coming together nicely.

The next thing I want to concentrate on is his helmet with a spike on top. And I have to get some hair in hand so I can start thinking about how I am going to make all of that work.

I think the amplifier is still about the same stage as it was previously. I did get the pitchfork for the back of it started. I think the next little project is going to be making the guitar come to life. This is just the cardboard mock-up.

More to come in the weeks to come.....ROCK ON!

Very kool. I just bought a ton of those metal spikes off ebay to use on an upcoming Ratfink or two! I bought another one of those king-sized ones from Tornado Design, and I'm thinking of a Franken-Fink project! I've also got a Gene Simmons idea in mind for one of the small Revell Finks!

Hey ducky, when I first looked at the one photo, I couldn't figure out why he had a sunflower on the end of his boot! LOL! :p

Hey DF,

Man, the last time I saw this you had just applied the trident, and did the microphone. WOW! It sure has come a long way since then, and it's looking just awesome. Cool shoes n spikes! Can't wait to see your further progress on it DF, and I still say this needs to go in a show when it's done, too cool not to! :)
Thanks for posting the new pics DF!

Hey, Tim, they are all great ideas! and I can't wait to see what you do with them! You MUST share some pictures when you get them underway. I went on an ebay spike speding spree as well months ago when I was getting ideas for this thing. I found a great place with some cool stuff called studsandspikes.com Ya might want to give them a look. I will have to check out your source as well. I got a lot of neat sizes and shapes. Also got my iron crosses and some other pendants from them too. And yeah....it DOES look like a sunflower on his foot!

Kitzillastein 58 - Thanks for all of your compliments! I made a lot of progress over the past week. I hope I can stay on it again this week and keep it moving. I would like to think that I can have the entire thing done and take it to Wonderfest next year. I am glad to see you over here on a regular basis!
