Recently we were posting pics of how we displayed our 1:43 scale castings. Mine was a very simple 36 count acrylic case...

OK, you see the problem? It's all full!!!! So I though I would just throw a few out on the counters, but the individual boxes were visually annoying. After looking at the Mini Champs 2 car BMW display, I thought I would try the same idea.
I used two 1:24 model cases (purchased at Wal Mart), positioned the cars and drilled a hole through the bottom. Made my reverse style background from construction paper and model airplane monocoat and poof..NEW DISPLAY BOXES!
By screwing the cars back down (as they arrived in their original boxes) and securing the display top to the base, I alleviated my fear of someone picking up a case and damaging the cars. They are nice and secure in their boxes and out on a counter where I can enjoy them, not in a box in the garage!
I hope this might get your own ideas flowing for a creative display. Post those pics so we can all join the fun!
Thanks for the look.
