OK...That's NINE now! I think I need to change that title!

With my exotic collection growing (that would be things other than Hot Wheels right?) I though I would put them all together....

Hi Ward,
That's a very good start plus excellent choices. On the Maserati Tipo 61 I just love the details on the wheels. I wonder how it was cast... it looks to me almost like a two piece construction. I remember that my very first Kyosho was the silver Mercedes-Benz G500 that I got from a Chinese dealer on eBay. Probably a factory second because there wasn't a box or a base, but still I was blown away by the details and the accuracy of the model... my wallet never looked the same after that....

I think Tipo 61 is one of the best efforts from Kyosho. Great wheels & full of tiny details made from separate pieces. Others in your collection look excellent too!

:p Boy, Do I understand that! Thanks for the look guys.

I have other "exotics" in my 1:64 road racing collection from Mini Champs, Biante and New Ray (as well as the 100% Hot Wheels, JL & GL Racing Replica Releases and those wonderful Muscle Machines). But the Kyosho's really are becoming my favorites!

Speaking of the Muscle Machines, who made those JGTC cars for MM a few years ago? Based on their other castings, I am sure a third party was contracted to produced them, or they simply released them in the states for someone else.

They look like other Kyosho’s cars on the net in current production. But the scale is larger than the finely tuned pieces pictured above. Any ideas?

I want to get that Nissan someday.

Muscle Machines released the JGTC cars for Tamiya. They looked nice but off the scale.

Thats it, Tamiya! I knew it was someone big. Yes, the scale is far to large for 1:64, but the detail is very nice. I do feel the need to display them together, not mixing them with other makes.

My first Kyosho was the Maserati Tipo 61 in white/blue Camoradi livery. Got it because it, com'on - it's the Birdcage, man! After that, got hooked on Kyosho subject matter in 1:64 and detail.

I think my first Kyosho's were the 3rd and 4th series Ferraris. Took a long time to put together 20 cars.

Contrats on the start. My problem with these cars is that I become conflicted on buying other brands......ie-should I wait and see if Kyosho comes out with the same subject. I like the Shelby Collectables Cobra roadsters better than the Kyosho renderings but that's about the only exception that comes to mind. The 1/64 kyosho's are hard to beat. Mini Champs looks like they are stepping up to Kyosho and Auto Art detailing but none come close to Kyosho's variety. It also kinda crushes all the theories about how come others can only do a couple or a handful of new models each year. Just an opinion. Anyway, all the best on your Kyosho endeavors.

You are a lucky man! You would think with as many historical events as I attend, I would have seen it also. But I have never seen a whale tail in real life!

I've wanted Mr. Shelby's Maserati since I saw you post about it a while back, I just haven't pulled the trigger yet. It's a beautiful car!

WOW, it takes me a long time to add to this racing collection. I expect to pay premium dollars for their cars, but not outrageous prices, so these come few and far between!

Instead of a new thread, I am just going to add a few pics to this one for my newest addition. The Jaguar XJR9 from this years BRITISH Sports Car Collection by Kyosho.
Though to be correct, it should be in the Silk Cut livery, but that's how it goes in the world of toys hu?

Though the #2 from this releases represents the more famous version (winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1988) it's this car , cassie # TWR-J12C-588 that bears the more successful history. This car won at Silverstone, Jarama, Brands Hatch and Fuji. It ran the 24 hour classic a total of 4 times (88-91) with two DNF and a second and forth.

Thanks to the fine folks at Kyosho I have a new toy to play with! Thanks as always for the look!

Thanks, I had been reading about those and wondered what this one might bring, but overall it looks pretty nice. The shipper did an awlful job packing the box and it was crushed, so I was thrilled to see the car unharmed!

Man, that Ferrari and the Masi are dreamy!!!!
They all look amazing exept for the orange Porsche, something doesn't look right proportionally to me.
Can you imagine what it would be like to drive one of these rocket ships!!!!
Great collection Ward!

Nice new car there Ward. The Jaguar XJR9 looks really cool and its history is even more interesting. I just got mine today and I'm very impressed with the details and feeling lucky that there were no damages. Now I just need to find room to display it.

I wanted to post my new red Horse in my collection thread as well. This now makes 9 cars in my Kyosho family!

This 1:64 scale #11 312 T2 is the 1977 ride of Niki Lauda. Representing his second championship in three years for the prancing horse, this 500 horsepower rocket also marked his last ride for Ferrari.

The model is a part Kyosho's second Ferrari Formula set, originally available through Japanese retail stores. Released in 2007, this series featured 20 cars representing 10 years of red car history.
