cola.. last year the fast guys were on tappers, you can run hole shots, bowties work very well when its dry. did not think tappers would work last year but they did.

jason i posted up some videos i took on the other thread, just letting you know..

This was a good race last year. It's a change for the racers that usually run off road.

Track will open at 11:00, racing starts at 2:00.
Also the covered bridge is closed, so you have to come in from the east, off dibble road.
Track address is 1918 dewey road Ashtabula Ohio 44004.

So what kind of motor is needed for running oval? I am still running brushed so do I want to run a 7 turn? 12 turn? basically what I'm asking is should I run the biggest motor I have? also any idea on what kind of gearing to run? I know nobody really runs a losi truck but maybe at least a general idea of what gearing to run so I don't smoke a ton of motors. I can't wait to try out oval, I've never run it before, should be fun:)

6.5,7.5 brushless is plenty fast, so what ever that is equal to in brushed?
As far as gear, start out with what you would run on a offroad track and go from there. Track will be open at 11:00, so you will have plenty of time to adjust. Hope that helps.See you Saturday!

Hi RC3,

I just wanted to say thanks for taking some time to answer some questions for me on the phone this past Saturday morning - I appreciate it.

Anyways, I will keep an eye on this thread - I'd like to get some Baja action sometime, although looks like it won't be until next season, so I'm sure I'll see you around eventually. :)
