Hi, I just bought my son an entry level Carrerra set. Problem is that it measures about 6 1/2' x almost 4' & takes about an hour to put together:rolleyes:. I don't have any place to leave this thing without it getting stepped on & destroyed. Back in the day I remember that the old kits had screw holes to mount to plywood. This one doesn't. I was thinking about mounting it with a hot glue gun & framing the underside of the plywood with 2x3's so it doesn't flex.
If I can't mount it somehow it is worthless to me because I can't leave it together & I can't put an hour into assembling it every time.

Don't know about the hot gluegun but have heard of others using silicone to affix their track to a solid surface like plywood. This way, they could remove the track from the base surface if they needed to later. :thumbsup: rr
