Hello,

I don't know if anyone is interested in a very large scale Boeing 747-200 fiberglass model. It is unfinished with a coat of primer on it. I believe it was a prop extra from the Harrison Ford movie that had Airforce 1 in it. The model has closed landing gear bay doors, 4 engines that were modeled in a 3D program which are supposed to represent G.E. engines. I'm not sure about the accuracy in shape to this resin pieces. I do have the mold for the engine units though. The The rear horizontal stabilizers are a bit weak and will need some support work as they sit perfectly horizontal at the moment. They're supposed to point upwards towards the tips. There are window details, but they're sealed, some panel lines are also molded in, but they're not possibly all there. There is also a large seam that needs to be filled between the upper and lower halves. This was a pretty ambitious project that I lost time and interest in and is occupying quite a bit of space due to it's size.

This plane is huge! It's all in one piece so I would prefer a local pickup in the Los Angeles area. Shipping would be too large and expensive, but will accomodate if you're willing to pay for a crated item. The rudder may need to be removed if crating. Will post pictures later today or tomorrow. I can provide more details if you ask here or through email: wkma7six@yahoo.com

My asking price is 450.00 or make a reasonable offer. I'm hoping someone who is interested in airliners may take this project up. I'll try to get some pictures of the model tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for looking.

Yes, the model is still available.

There are some areas at the parting seam that have holes and will need filling/ resurfacing. Parting lines and section lines are very faint in some areas of the fuselage, but they are there. The Horizontal stabilizers are rather flimsy hence the sagging or nearly perfect horizontal appearance. The stabilizer tips should be pointed upwards slightly. They can be easily modified by cutting them off and building a new spar or armature and remodeling the parting joint. I have it sitting on a 5 gallon bucket and next to a mountain bike for size reference. It's huge!! I would really recommend this for a professional modeler or advanced modeler due to the amount of work that may be needed and the possibilities of making this thing fully lit with a set of landing gears.

Here are some pics.
